mY favorite things about g1 transformers is the length of the series. I also like how they introduced all these characters to the show and how the transformers today originated from that series waht your favorite thing about transformers g1.

    The voice cast.

When I first watched G1, I started to like most of the voice cast first. Namely, the talents of Frank Welker, Michael Bell, Jack Angel, Chris Latta, Neil Ross, and Corey Burton.

I was born around the 90s and I grew up watching Voltron. Some of the actors listed are the ones I recognize(eg. Jack Angel voiced King Zarkon, Neil Ross voiced Keith, etc)

My favourite thing would have to be...Starscream! His voice, his appearance, his transformation, and of course his treachery! He's what really makes G1 so fantastic to me. One of the reasons I much prefer Seasons 1 and 2 to 3 and 4.

    The Characters for sure!

    The Unstoppable hero.. Optimus Prime
The Evil villain determined to rule all and succeeds! MEGATRON
(I don't care what you autobot lovers say, Megatron Killed Prime and would have survived if Starscream hadn't of screwed him over)

Unstoppable Force- Devastator.... the original and best combiner.
    Immovable objects- Season 1 Dinobots!

Just memorable characters that have been replicated in almost every series since.

There are so many things that I like about the original series (especially season 1), the art style, the voice acting and the background music all worked so well together. Sure it was very cheesy (especially season 2) but it captured the spirit of the toys very well.

    The toys.

Other than that, Peter Cullen, Chris Latta, and Frank Welker as Soundwave.

The voices. The quotes. And the characters. Optimus Prime especially. Optimus was the heroic leader who would never do anything wrong, that was just so awesome to me.

The characters mainly, they will always be 'the Transformers' for me as I grew up with them (so yes there's a lot of nostalgia in the mix too). As I got older I also started to appreciate other things more like the voice acting etc.

Starting the enduring toyline, Beachcomber (though I didn't care for his in episode commercial with Perceptor on introduction.), Rodimus Prime, Cyclonus, the Voices of Unicron & Galvatron and the toy gunformers which we'll never see redone as real gun style toys thanks to stupid cops shooting people that wave bananas around. The toys, well, they're unappealing to me beyond the unique ones... >.>

Oh, Ravage (Predacon version is the best so far though) and Soundwave's laugh.

The entire concept of a warring alien race of sentient transforming robots.

Gobots may have done it first, but Transformers did it best.

For being the giant all other TF series stand upon the shoulders of.

I love that many of the characters are still around twenty-five years later, either because they've always been in it year on year or because they've made a comeback to TF in recent years.

I love the Season 1 and 2 casts, until they took it all away with the movie.

Three way split - the toys, the characters, and the voice cast of the TV show.

Because the toys were extremely cool and fun, the characters were interesting and had some fun, unique quirks, and the voice cast brought it all to life in such a way we're still getting passionate about if someone sounds like the original voice actor from the '80s and campaigning to have them or a sound alike for new shows.
