I would say Don Figueroa is my favorite TF artist. And I've enjoyed EJ SU and Guido Guidi's work too.

It's probably a tie between Guido Guidi and Don Figueroa. Even Don's new style has grown on me.

Don Figueroa hands down, but I like his earlier Dreamwave/IDW stuff better than his "new" style. Plus, I'm really starting to like Alex Milne.

Guido Guidi, Don, and Alex Milne for sure, dont really have a clear favorite though.

As much as I like Alex's movie stuff I would love to see him get more work on G1, I have a few prints of his G1 stuff and it's pretty dang awesome.

    There's so many greats.

I love all of Floro Dery's Movie designs.

Marvel comics, I'm a big fan of Dan Reed, especially when he's doing the G1 movie designs. There's a rough directness to his work that you never get anymore. I think his linework has a lot of raw power.

Don Figureroa. Just goes without saying. Even when I don't like his design choices, I can't help but be blown away by the level of the draughtsmanship. He's insanely good.

On Animated, The Boo. His work is just bursting with fun and he draws the characters with heaps of personality. I also liked that one Movieverse strip he did. A lot of people didn't like that, and the colourist ruined it, but I thought it was cool.

I like Carlos Magno on movieverse. I think he's great all around. A lot of TF artists are great at one aspect, typically just the bots. Carlos is great at bots and humans, and particularly good at backgrounds and environments. There's a grittiness to it that I like, where many TF artists work very clean.

I love E.J Su's painted work. It's just beautiful to behold.

There's a bunch of others. As it happens, most of the artists IDW work with really impress me, and they've got some fantastic colourists too. That's unusual. I skipped DW stuff because they had such awful taste, and back when I used to collect Batman comics, I felt there was a lot of mediocrity around. Transformers seems so much more demanding these days, so many designs to keep track of, and they're all so precise and intricate. I'm surprised there are so many people able to do it so well.

Geoff Senior. I dig his gritty, geometric style.

Oh, I forgot Alex Milne! It was "The Reign of Starscream" and "Megatron Origin" that got me into TF comics.

There's a ton of talent drawing Transformers these days, but I think you just can't beat the combo of Don doing the lines and Josh doing the colors.

    Props to everyone though, really.

I haven't honestly been exposed to much TF art (since I don't read the comics), but what I've seen of Guido Guidi's work is probably some of my favorite overall.

Don and Guido, coming out of the Dreamwave era.

Derek Yaniger & Derrick Wyatt, for the interesting approaches.

I'll go with Don Figueroa. Especially his older (IE dreamwave) work.
Plus he's a really nice guy.

Hidetsugu Yoshioka - the man behind some of the most awesome box art ever made.
Joji Oshima - my favorite, anime director responsible for TF Zone.
Koujin Ohno - the godfather of TFs.
Guido Guidi - the perfect combination of style, technic and art mastery.
Casey Coller - same as Guido.
TF Procter and Josh Nizzi - awesome.
Alex Milne - the man doesn't sketch, he go straight to inks. How can I argue with that?
Josh Burcham - I saw this kid turn into a professional colorist when nobody gave a sh*t about him. He ignored all the useless criticism and evolved like no other.
Espen Grundetjern - this man is out of this planet. A true master.
Jackpot - the most underrated artist ever.
Marcelo Matere - a personal friend of mine, I've been following this man's work since his TF day one.

The others are either overrated or lacking in style or skills.

Alex, Guido, Makoto, Espen, Josh Burcham, Josh Nizzi, Marcello Matre

Btw. I need to add: anything Alex and Josh do together is frickin gold in my book.

Josh is a great colorist in that he can make anybody's art look great no matter how lacking the art is.

Alex is listed as number 1 to me because the details he puts into his work in the short deadlines he has to do it is absolutely amazing. this guy is definaly dedicated to what he does, and you can tell he really loves doing it.
