I just was curious what peoples' favorite way of getting their small-bot fix was. I love small transformers, but really think that the g1 minibots are my favorites. it seems like a lot of people really like minicons for their "uniqueness" although I end up thinking that most of their bot modes are ugly. the original minibots just look to me like what I expect transformers to be, nice and chunky, and I guess it's also their symmetry that makes them my favorite. what's yours and why?

The minicars. They were/are the freaking coolest.

my favorite are the WSTs... but I dont own any of those. I was hoping for an American release but Hasbro said there was no interest :\

aside from them, it's the mini-cons

If WSTs count, then they would definately be it. I don't really care for Minibots, MMasters, or Minicons. But the WST's are definately awesome.

Spychangers are my favs...probably for that Hot Wheels nostalgia. My son loves them too for the same reason...playing Hot Wheels with his cousin when the robots really are in disguise and fit right in :)  Very close second for me are the G1 Minibots and the multitude of foreign recolors :)

i went on a micromaster splurge a short while back. almost got them all now. since they are so cheap, they may be the only transformers i will be on the look out for. love the combiners.

yeah, it's because of their price that I'm thinking about doing the same thing. if you don't mind my asking, what's the ballpark figure of what it would cost to get all of the micromasters, not counting the bases?

I prefer the minicars. Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and the rest were simply cool imo. They also were not gimmicky like the recent minicons.

Micromasters. I would do anything to complete my Micromaster collection.

My favorite Micromaster was Erector. Yes, he was my favorite BEFORE I found out why his name was funny.

My personal faves are the minibots but that's mainly sentimental...the show made them look er, cute.

well, e-bay has some reasonable prices on full team sets, but the single cars and lots seem to be mostly broken. if you pay $2 per bot, thats pretty standard, but buying lots means you pay for ones you already have, and may only need one or two from the lot, thats the down side. they are so common and cheap, its inevitable you'll NEED to buy duplicates just to get the ones your missing. i've picked up a bunch from flea markets for about .25-$1 each. pretty common at flea markets i find, since they came out fairly late in game.

i don't go for the basses either, but i do go for the transports and the base bots. i Do want the duo-combinors field headquarters though.
