So, as the title suggests, which Seeker mold is your personal favorite?

For me, it's got to be Animated.

Yeah, Masterpiece may have a better transformation, more articulation, and better construction, but for me, Animated just has so much more personality. They just look great no matter what pose I put them in.

I actually JUST got Sunstorm in today, and after posing him with the others, not only has he totally removed all doubts about how much I love the Animated Seekers, but it makes me wish there were more of them. Sucks so much that Thundercracker got the ax... but it's actually making me consider looking up someone to customize me a Thundercracker and Ramjet.

So, which Decepticon jet do you love the most? And for bonus points, how many of that mold do you have?

I actually hate the whole animated line but, my favorite is the classics seekers. I would probably say MP seekers or Igears but, since I don't have them, I won't vote for them.

DOTM. It's super poseable, accurate and works well as other Seekers (Unlike Prime).

HFTD leader. fuck, this thing is nearly perfect. if it had the jet-mode proportions of the DOTM deluxe it would've been there.

edit: if we're not counting movie starscream as a seeker, classics. nails the seeker design for me.

G1 scream flaws and all. There are prettier but for it's simplicity I love it.

I'd say Cybertron, but Thundercracker wasn't a repaint, so I'll go with Armada.

I like how the Armada version looks but otherwise, I go with the Masterpiece seeker mold (MP-11 version.)

I count the Cybertron mold as a seeker because there were two versions of the voyager mold. The maroon one released in America in a two pack w/ Vector Prime, and the more accurate Japanese one. I suppose you can be creative and consider them two different characters. The maroon one a generic seeker and the properly colored one as Starscream. The mold was also repainted as Dirge, and before that, it was Shattered glass Starscream. Sure, Dirge is technically a conehead, but any good seeker mold is eventually redone as a conehead.

Plus, the legends version of the mold was repainted into Sunstorm and Skywarp as well as two alternate colorations of Starscream's color scheme. The thing about the Cybertron seeker mold is that at legends, voyager, and supreme scales, there's VERY little differences.

Classics/Generations I suppose. The RTS Legends mold is also pretty good for it's size.

Now as far as the best Starscream mold, I say it's a tie between Leader Starscream and Prime First Edition Deluxe Starscream.

Classics Seekers (I own all 7) followed distantly by MP Skywarp, and then G1 Seekers, of whom I own two. The former are as poseable as I could ever expect, and the later look really cool.

    RTS Legends.

I know, odd choice, but I love that mold.

my favorite would have to be HFTD Leader SS. Followed closely by the Classics version, and then the DOTM Deluxe version.

You honestly didn't think I was going to see this thread and not comment did you? LOL

old pic but you get the gist

I like them all, but each line has it's own kinda special quality that makes them stand out.

    The Generation 1 mold is my favorite, just because...well, it's G1. :D

The Classics mold is a close second just for the sheer number of figures there are, especially once you get into all the CHMS and other KOs.

MPs are up there too and would probably rank a bit higher for me if Takara-Tomy would have "officially" released the Coneheads, instead of me having to go to a 3rd party for them. The updated G1 design with all the attention to detail and added articulation make them a great addition to the collection, but the cost is a bit prohibitive; I had to do a LOT of freelance web work to pay for the iGear Coneheads and Sunstorm since they all came out over ONE freakin' summer.

EDIT: The Animated Activators should get an honorable mention, because they are just so fun and surprisingly poseable; they have a LOT of personality.
