Steve Jablonsky for sure. I like some of Yuki Kajiura's musical scores for anime titles like Noir, Madlax, etc. as well.
Murray Gold by far. For all the crapstorms I've had the displeasure of reading about the new Who series, I've had yet to read one about Gold's composing. It's fantastic, and does a perfect job setting the mood for each scene it's used for.
Steve Jablonsky. I dig his Transformers scores and I really like his work on Desperate Housewives (yes I watch it and it is fucking awesome).
i can hear my mother trying to pronounce that name and can only giggle at the hilarity. graeme revell's score for The Crow is hauntingly good. He may be outdated, but Jan Hammer's work on Miami Vice is still a vibe i like to chill to. Ennio Morricone is awesome for his work on The Untouchables.
When he's working with someone else, Hans Zimmer, because when he works by himself his stuff is kinda bland. When he was on his game, Michael Kamen. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Highlander remain two of my favourite scores. Basil Poledouris. The two Conan scores remain amongst the best in film ever. Starship Troopers is also a classic. John Williams. I know you could say a lot of his stuff might sound samey, but aside from the incidental music his themes and orchestrations are the best. Superman is probably his best work.
-John Williams. I love his music. -Hans Zimmer. Particularly his work on Batman Begins/TDK with James Newton Howard. -Shirly Walker. Batman TAS FTW! -Max Steiner. Has done countless scores from the Marx Bros. to Casablanca. His stuff is just lovely. -Steve Jablonsky. Not so much for his TF scores, but his work on Steamboy. Glorious. -Danny Elfman. Guy did Batman AND Spider-Man. He is legendary. And his work on T4 was a nice treat for me.
