Clearly Ratchet didn't survive the war by hiding under tables. Badass.
Also, that just made me aware of how much I miss Josh Burcham on this series.
Probably my favorite moment was around Megatron's trial, with Optimus and he just talking.
Ah yes, indeed.
Come to think of it, qualified this as "favorite" seems a little amibiguous.
But it was so perfectly done. Didn't see it coming. Not like that. Despite the character-arc making it obvious. All this scene from A to Z is -saddly- brilliant, strongly executed.
This issue is full of powerfull pieces, from bad ass Ratchet to Rewind's fate, but I have to say that Pipes death became an instant classic fictional moment in a reader's life. Among others, from MTMTE, also.
I immediatly purchased a G1 Pipes figure.
You're a brave little bot.
Who knew ?
But favorite ?
- LOVED the Wreckers, wanted more from Roberts or Roche, and Chaos Theory arrived.
I will never forget the first time I read it. I knew TF comics could do that, be like that. I think I said a "Thank you" out loud once finished.
- Shadowplay as well was a thrilling experience. Brilliantly done. Just to be send in orbit with its last page. Bed-jumping.
- All of Megatron's arc since MTMTE #28 (well, Chaos Theory, let's put RiD aside) is a delightfull pleasure to witness little by litlle every month.
- "Did we won ?", followed by a deep silence and incredule looks, was fantastic.
- Anything Brainstorm, Nutjob, or Missfire.
OH AND THAT:
Since nobody else mentioned it:
Whirl vs. Cylonus: Round 1. I kinda wish they hadn't bonded during the Tyrest fight, I kinda wanted to see more fallout from that. (It's like Deadpool vs. Punisher, wait? Oooooohhhh!)
And Spotlight Shockwave/Dinobots. Sort of a retelling of the G1 Marvel story (which, if you think about it, only took about 2 pages and was effectively an off screen flashback) turned into a front page feature fight. And since we know more about the characters 30 years later, we get more depth to the fight (besides just looking cool). Shockwave's cool logical detachment vs the Dinobot's emotional revenge.
And they actually got Shockwave to LOOSE HIS TEMPER!!!
They got him so angry they broke his Shadowplay!
Dinobots can break anything. They're weaponized chaos.
'Wheeljack, Wheeljack, Wheeljack.'
Arcee's heart-to-hearts in the wilderness, where she outs Prowl and then talks about just how bad she is at getting people.
The Shockwave reveal in Shadowplay.
Megatron and Ravage´s heart to heart talk.
So much to choose from.
To name a few:
Shockwave's final moments
Issue 13 of MTMTE
The whole Elegant Chaos arc
The Scavengers initial arc
Issues 33 and 34 of MTMTE
That's all I got.
Majority of moments is from MTMTE as usual
My favourites are RID #18,When Arcee tells Prowl about how socializing and real life is really hard for her,It was really touching as we get more in depth of her character,
and RID issues which focused on Shockwave....
And When in DC finale,Megatron dons the autobot badge as he explains how senate has ruined both him and shockwave and also Shockaves death.
Also from LSOTW,When Overlord is fought by Impactor
And many other Megatron`s moments.
I did forget to add my other favorite, which was the end of DC
That was great.
A lot of stuff at the end of DC was great, but Megatron donning Bumblebee's symbol and Shockwave remembering who he was while dying are my favourites.
The bar scene.
I too was thrilled when it ended.
Man, that was a long, shitty 6 months.
Most of Dark Cybertron (constant art shifts threw me off a bit)
All the touching moments from MTMTE
Last Stand of the Wreckers as a whole
Nightbeat and Nautica's scenes
Whenever all the shitty event crossovers end.
They're that bad?
Yup... pretty sure that they are.
They're unremarkable and they're disrupting pacing and plots of all involved ongoing series.
The small percentage of cool moments (almost always awkwardly clustered toward the end) fail to fully justify their existence.
