What's your favorite G1 Decepticon Jet? Mine has to be either Thundercracker or Starscream.

I'm going for Thundercracker, but pretty much only because as a kid, I always liked villains with that edge of empathy or doubt that indicated they may not be completely bad. Ultimately I think Starscream is a lot more important though.

Where the hell are Darkwing and Dreadwind? They're Decepticon jets, too.

Seeker-wise I'm gonna hafta say Thundercracker first Starscream second with Dirge coming up third.

TC I thought had quite a bit of potential. A 'Con that wasn't entirely sure of his faction made for that grey area that doesn't get explored too much in the cartoon. It's usually Good guys vs. Evil guys, but the Blue seeker made for some variety. True to form it really never got played out until recently, but I still like that about him. Made me love his character...and his toy.

As far as Starscream goes, I liked the treacherous and ambitious qualities he displayed. Most of Megatron's army -- minus the triple changers -- loyally followed him, but then there was Starscream in the background challenging his command and claiming he could do better. Despite failing as often as he did he'd always get right up ready to go again. ...Plus I loved the banter between 'Screamer an' Megz it made for some laughs.

Dirge I just like because. He too has a interesting personality, IMO. A 'Con that's vulnerable to what he uses as a weapon unless he has the utmost control sounds like and a fascinating topic to me. Not to mention that he does have a tad bit in common with the Prime himself. I mean, he get's around a lot, but does have a tendency to die quite often, no?

(Edit: If I had known Dirge was gonna get so little love I would'a voted for him first off. >>; )

Starscream, hands down. Nothing beats his lack of respect, his thirst for power and leadership, or his griping about Megatron's failed plans (or plans he assumed would fail). And that voice, perfect for him.

Thundercracker. I've always liked his color scheme, and I like his (occasional) characterization as one of the few "doubting Decepticons."

I mean, Starscream is a great character, one of the pillars of the franchise, but I just have a soft spot for TC.

Thundercracker, for the simple reason that his toy had the neatest shade of blue ever. (It irked me even back when I was 5 that he was baby blue on TV--I knew the "real" TC was an awesome deep metallic blue)
