From the novelizations and comic. "I suppose I could be jealous of them. After all, the Autobots have friends. I take solace that only friends keep secrets from one another." "What your planet requires is more playgrounds." "So emotional, Prime. Such anger over a few dead soldiers?" "OUTRAGE!" "When only one world can survive, you would choose theirs over ours?" "Over you." "Three shall stand, one shall fall."
Major "THIS" on the bolded ones. But I honestly can't decide what I like better: "I bring you Cybertron, your home, and still you choose humanity?" "You were the one who taught me freedom was everyones right!" OR "When only one world can survive, you would choose theirs over ours?" "Over you." They're both epic and effective and offer awesome insights to the characters. It's been a while since I read the novelization and comic, but I'm sure that some lines will come back to me in a bit.
This is my favorite scene from the novel, and they cut it out completely save for one measly shot of Sentinel zoomin' down a highway. They also cut the scene where Optimus met Obama, lame. Couldn't really think of any lines from the scene, I just wish I'd been included. Optimus was looking forward to that meeting. But nyooooo. Potty Humour instead.
Maybe it's just because I'm getting senile, but that line's not actually in the novel, is it? But you know, that potty humour serves it's purpose too! </sarcasm> But in all seriousness, 3 minutes of potty humour doesn't cost an additional $9 million and take 20 VFX artists 5 weeks to animate, light and render, despite the fact that it'd be way more important. I would've killed to see a scene between Optimus and Obama. I just love those one-on-one scenes with Optimus. The visual effects fan in me loves it when massive CG metal interacts with live-action tarmacs and stuff.
I did laugh at the playground one. Also the scene where Sam fantasizing about Carly in a beautiful dress holding a giant chocolate chip cookie then thinks "I really need to think of dirtier fantasies". But the main dialog I want, was everything Megatron said in the comic. Everything he said in the comic was awesome. It was also a lot more fitting to his evil character than the "I want to start creating instead" shit from the novel. It's amazing that Kruger couldn't think up lines like the comic ones for the movie (assuming it wasn't in the novel coz he didn't write it). I also liked Starscreams line with Mirage "I never had much patience for you. You where the one that always preferred hiding to fighting. You should have stayed hidden." But that could only have worked with Mirages death. It would have been cool to see Starscream to get back at Mirage after he was humiliated by him in the game.
Although, I do find it quite odd how sentimental and nice Sentinel acts. What is the point of that little speech to Sam about the children and the playgrounds if he intends to enslave humanity?
honestly there were parts in the DOTM novel where Bee actually SPOKE, to sam before he had to leave and when he fought Soundwave. i really wanted to hear them in the movie. "Time...to...die..." (spoken by Bee too) how awesome would that of been ?
Ya see, Sentinel liked children like Deathsaurus so he wouldn't have killed or forced them into slavery just their parents.
