Go for Siege when it releases. Better articulation and more accessories.

 

I've also got my sights set on Seige. I've been using both TTLG-13 and CW Megatron as my main Megatrons. Very good figure that represents Megatron extremely well. He's just become too big for my collection and the scale, articulation and handling of Seige is PERFECT for what I'm looking for.

 

Legends Leader Megatron for now... I could see replacing him with Siege Megs if we were still getting massive improvements in paint decos from Takara, but as is...
(Legends over Combiner Wars because they fixed some annoying paint apps and the weird orange tabs on his chest.)

 

For the last 12 years anyway....

 

If Takara does clean paint jobs instead of war-torn, they might get my business.

 

Mine to! But sadly Hasbro has been cock blocking Takara's unique take on figures the last couple years (seriously, who in the US would buy the exact same Trypticon for $80 more). So I won't hold my breath.

 

That’s the unfortunate part of import duties and “brand unification,” it means Hasbro forces Takara to cheap out, and the cost to ship overseas for the same, sometimes bland paint is no longer worth it.

 

This is a very interesting question to see the responses to.

I don’t tend to have just one though as different collections need different leaders. I’m pretty excited about the Seige Megatron, who will be hanging with the Seige Decepticons just like TR megs hangs with the TR Decepticons.

 

CW Megs for now; I like pretend he's just from 'Heavy Metal War' and is bulked up from absorbing all the other Decepticon's abilities.

 

im going to be using fire convoy as my "chug" prime. i prefer decepticons to predacons so id still like a megs who doesn't become a hand or dragon or... other dragon type thing. anyone have this prime who can offer some comparison pics? thanks in advance.

 

Siege Megatron is what I wanted the Classics version to be.
Also Soundwave and Shockwave are perfect for me.

I might never need to buy a new toy of those 3 again, unless a Movie reboot comes out with some really badass figures.

 

Saw those pics in another thread - I also didn't like the stock face sculpt, and I had never thought of MMC's head as a replacement - it looks great!

I think since my chug prime is now gonna be rid fire convoy im going to make megasteel Granville my chug megs. I think they look good aesthetic wise and i believe the height range would be good too when prime isn't in super mode.

 

Tried some upgrades...still not a fan of the figure.
