If I see it - I'll get it. I'm betting some customizer will find a way to make him taller.
Is his time coming to an end?
None of them.
I use my G1 flavored TFP Megatron.
3rd Party Hegemon.
I just saw him there in the store. I mess up when I picked up the box.
Ah! I actually have new figures to hunt when I’m out and about! I can’t wait to get Siege Megs!
God, yes. Finally.
I'm sure the other dudes looking for Siege Megatron are thanking you while laughing their butts off. LoL
- Universe / Henkei Megatron looks like a cross between, a Nerf Popgun and a robotic version of Pennywise the dancing clown.
- CW Megatron looks like Art the clown from Terrifier. Good tank altmode and paint though.
- TFP Megatron's design looks like the visual interpretation of a drama queen to me.
Ok, so far I've been exaggerating the statements a bit, dramatizing it.. but indeed, the highly stylized Megatrons never did it for me.
- TR Megatron is just a decent Megatron pre-tool of what's truly better as Takara TR Blitzwing.
- IDW B2 bomber Megatron is pretty nice ! But... kinda like a G1 Black Megatron in a totally unrelated manner.
- FOC Megatron, now here's a more than decent Megatron who really evokes a stern no-nonsense attitude.
- but this Siege Megatron takes the best things about FOC Megatron and elevates that to new heights.
I'm personally seeing the Siege Megatron as the mainline's equivalent of MP-36.
And I like it like that.
Laughing at me for what precisely? Buying a figure I like?
The new WFC Siege one for sure. Before that all I had was that deluxe sized G2 inspired figure, that came in a two pack with a crappy OP fig. I recently traded those in to my local hobby shop, which is also where I got the brand new Megs.
The goofy nerf gun Classics one never interested me, it was the color scheme. I would've liked to have had the Henkei version, but that wasn't an option for me at the time.
I never cared for the CW or TR versions. At least the WFCS one is his own fig, and not a pretool/retool of someone else, and he's much better for it.
I can't get past the way his shoulders move out and away from his torso.
As far as I see it for a good CHUG Megatron there are four or five toys to pick from, United gun Megatron, the most G1 accurate in almost and colors, but the bot mode is way more "Gundam" than is acceptable to some. CW Leader Megatron, beautiful colors and a very G1 bot mode, but for me the shoulders are... just no, it looks more like battle damage that articulation. TR Voyager Megatron, some may not care for the Headmaster gimmick and he makes some sacrifices for his two alt modes, but what triple-changer doesn't? Also you can get in in G2 colors to be Beast Megs, or Archforce if you already have a Megatron that you like as Megatron. Then the's Siege Megatron who, from reviews I'v seen, seems OK but does have some flaws in bot mode, like his sinking head and his extra wide chest.
For not jumping at the chance to get the best Voyager Megatron in years and instead buying a soap bottle as a stand in.
Let them laugh. I'm not buying a figure to please other people. I'm buying a figure to make me happy. I'm only sorry that your such a snob who feels they hafta to try to belittle others to justify or prove something to yourself. In a toy hobby too. Tsk tsk.
Hey you belittled the work of the designers, positioning a shampoo bottle as a stand in for mostly excellent design.
Considering that Megatron is made by the same people? I think not. And as I said, no reason to be a snob. Someone's toy collection doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme of life.
Even with siege megatron looking as good as he does I still choose nbk megatron and pc-16 as my prime and megatron
ML Soundwave is very under rated. He's a good size and gooks good with a voyager-ish Megatron. I've got mine on my desk at work but may take him and DL Blaster back home at some point.
