I kinda see titans return skyahawdow as a an energon megatron and i like the skyshawdow more hmm
Skyshadow is just so freaking awesome.
I would have bought that mold if that was the design, or TR Galvatron if he was in SG Megatron colors and/or Energon Megs too. Frankly, I would have bought a ton more mainline if they had done anything other then G1 and did homages of other series (even though I grew up with G1, I want to see more diverse characters then the same goddamn few we have been getting the last DECADE).
A galaxyforce/cybertron megatron would be nice too
TR Megatron is my guy on my season 1 & 2 Con shelf. I like to have Prime & Megatron as Voyagers on my S1/2 shelves because I feel leaders are too big.
TR Megs is a great bot....He will likely be replaced by Siege Megatron though.
Again, I use other figures as other past opposing-faction leaders.
I don't have one yet. Imagine that! In the 7 years I've been collecting, I don't have a G1-esque Megatron. Really hoping the Siege one comes out okay so he can be the one.
Due to my prime being rid fire convoy, who stands at 8 inches tall in non super mode, my choices for an adequate height megs are somewhat limited. Ive narrowed my list down to animated leader megs and cw leader megs. Ill get one of these 2 in november once ive finally settled on which is best to battle fire convoy.
MMC Megatron is the only one I can find that scales well.
Seige Megs looks good but he's going to be a little too small.
To be fair that image and pose are a bit unflattering for this figure. Until otherwise, I'll hold out hope that it'll be good once it gets in someone hands
I decided to get Titan Warrior Megs because I didn't like the weathering on Seige Megs. Made him look like he splashed in the mud.
Edited for Pic:
He's got a very detailed face for a 4.88 toy. I like him.
Dunno if you can see it, but he has a touch of red glitter on him. Heh heh, he's Pixie-tron.
I like CW Megatron a lot but he's too tall for me. Siege looks the best to me as a far too long overdue Henkei replacement.
For those of you who were waiting for in-hand images of Siege Megatron, here's a link to some in the Siege Appreciation Thread.
We now know the head looks fine when properly transformed, it sits on a hinged piece so when it's not pulled up properly it looks like this garbage.
I've said it in a dozen posts before, but CW Megatron is my CHUG choice. His alt mode scales well, and I like the larger leader Decepticons to bully the small deluxe Autoboy cars. Only PotP Optimus and Leader Jetfire are the big guns on my season 1 Autobot team.
Ooooohhhh, that looks rad. MP Shockwave works pretty well with that crew, I might have to consider the toy color version over Siege...
I’m not taking size/scale into consideration for my CHUG G1 Megs. It’s all about appearance and here’s how I see it:
Classics < CW < TR < Siege
I really feel that HasTak has continued to improve on the G1 redesigns. I didn’t think they could push it beyond TR Megs but Siege does it. The only drawback with Siege vs TR Megs is the lack of a third mode. But everything else is top stuff.
@Shlockwave your row of leader class Decepticon look great.
I personally have leader class Megs, Soundwave, Blackshadow and Overlord VS Jetfire, Optimus, Ultra Magnus, Super Ginrai and Rodimus.
Siege Shockwave will be added soon.
TR Megatron for Voyager scaling, CW For Leader.
I've painted/reprolabeled my TR Megatron, and replaced his head with the one from the voyager KO of CW Megatron. There's still more work I want to do on him (improve his blaster with more than just paint, reposition the tank spout towards his right shoulder (might remove the triplechanger jetmode, really debating as I actually kind of like it). I really like this figure despite the criticisms.
I want to beef up CW Megatron's legs without add on kits, but may ultimately just paint them black which might help make them look fuller. Also, bought the Modfans Blaster and kept it after selling my MP36 so trying to get that on there in a way that works well. Oh, as well as unlocking the ankle tilt the figure should have (removing a tiny bit of paneling on the inside of his feet).
I really like Rioter Despotron and Hegemon, but they look too good for my Generations (which I prefer to MP) figures if that makes sense.
Excited for the Siege Megatron.
