Tried some upgrades...still not a fan of the figure.
Maybe GDO or Cloud Megatron? I think Energon Megatron/Galvatron could pull it off
I'm very fond of the Henkel Megatron. That or LG are my main. LG G2 Megatron I use as Hero Megatron, GDO green Megatron as green G2 Megatron.
Siege looks great, I look forward to it as a cartoon/pre-earth homage.
The upcoming WFC Siege Megs is right up my alley and will definitely serve as my CHUG Megatron.
CW Megatron. I have a shelf with the 84 Decepticons (CW Megatron, CW seekers, TR Soundwave and minions) and they all look great being leader scale. It lends a bit more credibility to their ranks as there was only like 5 major players vs like 11 cars and a tractor trailer. A jet/ robot would be way bigger than a car/robot.
Mmc Tyrantron. The first TF I bought as a collector and still one of the best. Displayed with an Autobot symbol and soon, hopefully, a triangular MMC cannon from Shapeways.
Still, not to be unfaithful to old Tyrantron but that Rioter Despotron sure looks good.
The Siege Megatron looks very good. Once I clean up the battle damage it might finally replace the Henkei one I've been using for 10 years.
What, just one?
My primary CHUG Megatron is United Megatron (not as gaudy as Henkei). I love the mold even though wings are... unfortunate.
I also have the deluxe G2 Megatron from 2-pack with Optimus, I was always secretly hoping that he'd receive a 3p upgrade to turn him into a voyager. He will be on display in my G2 shelf.
I have the Legends LG13 Leader Megatron and I'm contemplating getting LG63 Hero Megatron to use as Archforce (possibly with a different face for the headmaster).
Finally, I have 2 Legends Megatrons that were released.
I use the MMC Megs as my chug Megatron.
He sizes well against my chug Optimus Prime.
Siege Megs uses that godawful milky plastic that makes him look really bad.
Okay, wow, you might have convinced me to add him to the list of MMC figures I'm interested in getting, once my financial situation improves. For some reason, I thought he was bigger than he actually was. But since he's barely bigger than a voyager, he really does scale well with CHUG. Maybe I might actually consider getting the DJD now too - my biggest issue was that I didn't want them towering over my TR Megatron.
The MMC Reformatted line is pretty good sized to chug figures. Although, I only pick up MMC versions of characters that should be voyager sized or above, because their version of, say Drift, looks too big next to Hasbro deluxe figures like Hot Rod or any of the other car bots. But I was really happy with their Megatron. He looks like he should be the leader of the Decepticons.
Hell yeah he does!
Combiner Wars Leader Megatron. What he lacks in articulation, he makes up for in personality. You just don't see many tank-formers with working treads.
