Starscream. Christmas 84. My grandmother had bought him for me. I never asked for toys back then and was always jealous of others up until that point. I was the only one I knew who had a seeker. Until the coneheads came.
G1 gears. My mom bought it from Walgreens in 1980 something. I'm not 100% sure it was my first, but it stands out so much as the first I can remember playing with. Crazy thing about it is there was so much more in terms of toy lines to choose from back then. Nowadays pickings are slim. I feel bad for my kids.
They were my first two as well (can't remember which I got first), but I've had a soft spot for G1 Jazz ever since.
G1 Skywarp in '84 I believe. My Dad was in the Air Force so naturally I was obsessed with fighter jets. A black fighter jet that turned into a robot was a dream come true. Must be why I still prefer Skywarp out of all the seekers. It is interesting to see that the figs ppl got first are the ones they tend to prefer.....
Well, I don't remember having him as a child, but judging from a box of my old toys my first Transformer ever was a G1 Ramjet.
My grandparents used to buy my brother and I toys from things we weren't familiar with. One day when they were in town, they bought me a Transformer with an ambulance vehicle mode. It was Universe Ratchet. This was years before I even got into Transformers but I had a lot of fun transforming it mindlessly. And it's pretty much because of this that Ratchet is my one of my favorite Autobots in most continuities. I even miss that toy but I kept losing parts to it and eventually threw it away. RIP my first Transformer.
