Some guy bought a huge video game collection for $1.2m.

Massive old-school video game collection fetches $1.2 million on eBay | Games Blog - Yahoo! Games

An old Nintendo world championship cart sold for $12,000. His story on how he got it is most interesting.

How I Got Nintendo Powerfest 94

The most ever payed for a game is a sealed copy of Stadium Events for the original NES two yearrs ago on eBay. IMHO the $41,300 final price was artificial due to a competitive bidding war.

its got loads worse since the internet is in everyones home I got all my snes games around early ps2 era for half of what I would have to bid on ebay. Its harder to find a bargain in a charity or 2nd hand shop when anyone looking to get rid of stuff can look it up online first to see if its worth a fortune

Aren't original NES games super common? I got quite a bunch, and they all still work.

Love the old NES system. Still got mine MIB LMAO. Thought I'd never use that term MIB for something other than TF's. Got that POS Zelda game too, it's the only one that doesn't work properly.

I think I paid $40 for my Game Boy Color and Pokemon Blue when I Bought them at the local Half-Price Books. I think they had a copy of Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars for $40 when I was there last. None of the Vintage Games I own (apart from Pokemon Blue) are worth anything anymore, though.

That sucks. I would like to keep track of the outcome on that sale.

    EDIT:
It looks like the seller is breaking down the lot and selling the item in pieces.
