Man, wish I had seen that. That's a good price.

But I guess I better think again about getting my Powerdasher AFA graded. :lol

AFA grading has become the biggest racket in collecting; take anything brand new, get them to grade it (never mind if it's a KO; they've graded them by mistake in the past. Good work there), and you have what you perceive to be a license to print money. Of course in some circumstances it is, but then you have people pointlessly AFA grading things like that. Oh, and dickheads like this who think they can gouge prices to hell and back:

Ludicrous. I hope he never sells it.
I never intend to buy anything AFA graded. I'd only open it anyway.

AFA..... I don't get it. I consider the transformation of a toy the true piece of art. I want to transform the transformer. With AFA grading you pay way to much and you are not allowed to touch it. For me it makes no sense.

I would AFA something if I hade something that I know hade value and dident want to open. like say a MISB G1 prime. but that would most be to protect the toy and box , wouldent care much for the score.

I wouldn't give AFA a dime of my money, no matter how much it would make me. I personally don't care for what they've done to collecting.

If others dig 'em, eh. That's fine. But I do love seeing stuff like this happen--and the fact that it happened to Toywiz.com makes it even better.

It seems like almost every time I post after you these days it's because I have the same feelings on the subject...

I couldn't really add/take away anything to that... Well said.

hahhaaha, that is AWESOME! who's that guy here with the twintwist army at botcon? he needs this, lol.

well, for rare old MISB stuff i do see the point in AFA-ing. that sucker will stay MISB unless someone makes a serious effort. and hate all you want but whoever came up with the whole concept/business plan for toygrader.com doesn't even need a "real" job anymore.

Isn't it actually pretty hard to find a Topspin or Twintwist that doesn't come in a yellowed window? I haven't seen too many.

*shrug* Could be. I just find it hysterical that anyone would ever bother AFAing a Jumpstarter.

    I mean, that's like AFAing.... uh, a Jumpstarter :)
