    LOL man thats funny.

forgive the ignorance - we dont get too many snakes in ol' blighty - but what type of snake is a copperhead? are they dangerous?

EDIT - just googled it. yeah these seem quite nasty

In Arizona we have these nice little fellows

Years ago I stepped out into my backyard and there was one right outside the door. Scares the piss out of you when you hear them rattle. I litterally jumped backward back into my house.

I don't mind non-venemous snakes, just the the killer ones.

BTW you done killed that snake good. :lol

I killed him with a garden hoe that I was carrying. I was trying to cut his head off, but the damn blade wasn't sharp enough.

Thanks, At least with rattlesnakes you usually hear them first. With Copperheads you don't see them until your right on top of them.

My personal favorite way to kill them is on the riding lawnmower. When that blade hits them they just kind of sprawl.

Not to self, enjoy the fact that there are little to no venomous snakes in your area.
Smkspy well done, now kill the rest of them.

We've got an endangered kind of rattlesnake in the area around one of our cottages , so it's kind of illegal to kill them. I had a run in with one once, and it was pretty darn big.. I quickly turned around and ran back inside the cottage. Bet when you think of Canada, you don't think of poisonous snakes..

One time when I was younger, I was walking when I stepped on a shingle that had a snake under it. I looked down to see what I stepped on and a black snake crawled out and went into the nearby pond.

From the time I saw him and the time he entered the pond, I didn't move except to tilt my head to look at him.
