War for Cybertron Megatron is the perfect body that Hasbro can easily turn into Galvatron. All they would need to do is replace the head and the fusion canon and that is it. BOOM!! The perfect Galvatron. Instead, they would give us a crappy toy with the Galvatron name under the Universe line, and also give us all of these Megatron repaints instead of utilizing what would work best. Anyone agree?

Would you have been ok if it was given horns, a purple paint, and released as Galvatron in the first place without repainting? (being serious)

Because, I understand where you're coming from, but he's right when he says that mold is perfect for it, and the Radicons have proved it 50x over.

    But Megatron IS Galvatron.

And I would rather have this:

Yeah... I'm not seeing it. The WFC figure represents Megatron long before he'd ever been to earth. How does it make sense to turn that into Galvatron?

I have to echo Dr. Kain

    "But Megatron IS Galvatron."

You do realize that Universe Galvatron was released before WFC Megatron, right. Quite frankly, while many customizers have shown that WFC Megatron would make a pretty cool Galvatron, I personally feel it'll be better if Hasbro/Takara just redo Galvatron. Besides, Universe Galvatron isn't that bad of a toy and WFC Megatron only had one repaint by Hasbro, the other two were by Takara.

    LOL "Instead"?

Universe Galvatron was released in 2008. Like Spring or Summer 2008. WFC Megatron was released two years later. Little unfair to say Hasbro did one "instead" of the other.

Either way though, it's still a Deluxe figure and I wouldn't care for it. Not on my shelf, anyway. I would gladly take a retool (new head, new cannon) of the Voyager Megatron mold.

Yes, but he's Megatron in a "reformatted" body. Quite frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing the IDW interpretation of Galvatron be made into toy form.

It might be a perfect War for Cybertron Galvatron, but I'd never consider it a Classics figure. Voyager or bust.

You mean the gun one? Yeah, because that fits so much.

    Anyway, :banghead:

You guys are missing the point. I'm not saying he needs to be a WFC Galvatron, I'm saying Hasbro needs to give us a real Galvatron figure, not that cheap thing that falls apart they did for the Universe line. However, Hasbro likes to be cheap, as such, the WFC body is the perfect body to use in this case, as they are never going to just do a completely new Galvatron figure. EVER!!!

How can you be so sure, for all we know they could be planning a toy for him in the eventual future.

Because Hasbro only cares about Bayformers now. That is why TFPrime looks like Bayformers, and that is why the movies will continue.

Ooooooooooooh look, someone who does not realize that anything posted under a person's user name IS THEIR OPINION!!

I opened this thread expecting Energon Megatron to be the "perfect Megatron body" to turn into Galvatron. Honestly, with some retooling this mold would make an amazing G1 Galvatron. I wish Hasbro would do it.

Yes while that is their primary focus, did you ever stop to think about their Generations line. Last I've heard, they're still planning to continue that line. True, it's not going to recieve as much attention from Hasbro as the other two lines did, but that hasn't stopped them from giving us plenty of fan favorites in that line; from Thundercracker and Kup to Thunderwing and Straxus and hell even Sky Shadow (Black Shadow). Just give it time.

Yeah, I can definitely see WFC Megs being retooled as Galvatron.

That said, I probably wouldn't be particularly excited over it given the wonky arms of that mold.

I want a good Megatron and Galavatron that are Voyager sized to go well in scale with Classics Optimus Prime. Classics Megatron is a bit too tall for Voy Prime even though he is a Voyager sized figure and WFC Megatron (even though he is very cool) is too short. Dangit Hasbro... :(
