It already looks better than the Happy Meal Armada toys.

Gotta love how they make toys for kids that aren't old enough to see the movie.

Pretty simple, really. Hasbro is going to pump out so much crap that it won't matter whether or not the movie does well; whichever way it goes, a profit will be made.

Not too bad. As long as they don't try and pass it off as a mainstream toy, it gets my approval.

Yeah, this is going to be a PG-13 movie, right...?

I'm sort of astounded that they're trying to bring 4 year olds (or younger?) in to see a movie with that rating.

They aren't trying to get them into the theater, they are just trying to get their money in the toy store. Merchandise sales ALWAYS exceed box office grosses for product friendly properties like this.

Pirates II made about 1 billion dollars internationally. Disney made over 8 billion in Pirates merchandise sales internationally. It's insane, but true.

The last star wars flick was rated PG-13. That didn't stop Hasbro from making a Darth Vader Mr. Potato head. Is it wrong? Yeah probably. Is it unique to Transformers? No way.

I still can't believe Kenner came out with alien and predator toys in the early 90's. Not that I had any problem with them, of course :p

Ehhh. Nice for the kiddies, I guess.

What's weird is that the fewer of these they make, the more likely I am to buy any of them.
If, for example, there's just 2 or 3 of these things, I might bite the bullet and get 'em just so I've got every TFing movie toy. It DOES have a certain charm, but I can't see myself playing with it all that much, it really does look like a toy straight out of the '80s.
If there's a bunch of 'em, though, that'd be too much money to spend on something I'm not really all that fond of, and I just wouldn't bother getting any.

    I'm funny that way.

    Whoa, defensive much?

I know you already apologized for this, man... but maybe you need to lay off the movie debate for a while. You're seeing movie trash-talk bait everywhere.
