Hey all customizers! just thought i'd share my first ever repaint, i love the Sideswipe and i know it's been done like a thousand times before, but i wanted one of my very own and i'm digging the way it's looking so far and hopefully i'll get the 'bot mode completed.

so please enjoy, and remember - it's my first custom, so go easy on me:D

Your gloss is very smooth and clean! What type of clear are you using?

2 things. First, that looks awesome! Second, I had no idea you can take the figure apart like that.

    Thanks!:D

Thanks - Just found and old tub of enamel paint, luckly it was red and went to two on a spare Swipe i had.

Thanks much - And it's pretty awesome what you can do with a small enough screw driver.:thumbs2:

Well i wouldn't say professional, but thanks!

The fact that you took it apart says a lot about you. YOU HATE MASKING TOO!!!! But for this is a great start to your custom road. Unless I overlooked it, I didn't see what you painted with, a brush or airbrush!!

Good job. I can really appreciate the work you did here. I know how much of a bitch Sideswipe is to work with. I was using alcohol to strip the factory paint and is seriously softened and broke the clear. Had to use Swerve parts.

a lot of times, i will take sets of screws and tape them together, then tape them to the part they belong to. to keep em organized.

Your paintjob looks BEAUTIFUL. i happen to be working on a Sideswipe repaint too. i totally smudged the hood, i gotta fix it.

Just put them back in the hole they came out of. This not only keeps them organized, but also give you a place to hold the part while painting.
