Painted for screen accuracy for my own silly silly collection.
As usual with customs I do for myself, I only added what he really needed.

The way I do it is acrylic mix of the color, with black added to darken it, like on most of Jazz here I used a light gray with a bit of black mixed in. Just water it down a good bit (I dab from water to paint mix and stir it around in a small dish until the right consistency) then apply along the recessed details. Let it dry almost fully, then use a damp cloth to rub over the surface until only what is in the recesses remains. You have to scrub across the line recesses, not along them, if that makes any sense. If you scrub along the lines you will remove the paint in the recessed lines too.
On a white figure like Jazz here, that can give the figure a dirty look. It fits for a WFC/FOC figure though.

I mostly only use acrylics for line detail washes because especially after a clear coat, it is very reliable in the recesses where it will never be rubbed when handling. Using acrylics for much of anything else tends to scrape off too easily.

I ALREADY DID THIS! YOURS IS A FAKE!!!

In real talk I dig, clearly as I love all things Jazz. What's weird though is that I've stopped doing washes for the most part. I just paint the lines, going as clean or as messy as needed. I hadn't thought about it until your last post.

But whatever, I like that dirty blue on him!

I really just dry-brushed steel over the blue parts and gave them a darker blue wash to bring out the line work.
I usually see your TFP figures before I even get my own and think "Damn... that's pretty much exactly what I wanted to do". I actually never saw your FOC Jazz though.
I'm sure it rocks all kinds of balls. :)

This is pretty much exactly what I've been doing to my Jazz. It's nice to see what mine will look like when I'm done. :lol  I was debating whether or not (read: too lazy) to paint the sides black and do the red line, but now that I've seen yours I'm painting it as I type this. Haha
