First off, is it just me, or does his bot mode feel a LOT like WFC Megs? The Megatron fig I have is just a giant brick in bot mode, and Shocky here feels about the same. And am I the only one who likes to show him in his alt mode more than his normal mode? Kinda reminds me of the Batmobile with a REALLY BIG CANNON. I mean, he's a nice figure, but I don't really see the hype besides the fact that he's hard to get because of said hype.

Well WFC is an awesome figure and I have to say, Shockwave is pretty cool himself. Both are very awesome cybertronian figures.

Yeah, I got a massive WFC Megs feel with DotM Shockwave, both in their robot modes and their transformations.

Makes me really wish they made a Voyager WFC Megatron...

We got Shokwave. In the movies. And he's purple.

Three damn good reasons for the hype right there. Add to that, I like solidity in my TFs, and I like his tank form, something about the little wheels in front tickles me.

I'm not saying anything bad about his tank form, it happens to be one of my favorite alt modes in a toy to date! But I just don't really see all the hype. I mean, it's a great figure, but it's not a GREAT figure, you know?

Really? I think his alt mode is the worst thing about him. two sets of treads and a pair of training wheels up front? puhleeez.

its funny that the OP said it looks like the batmobile, i agree, i think it bears some resemblance to the tank Batman uses in DKR.

It reminds me of the bat-shit crazy Clanner Tank designs in Battletech.

I don't see any similarities with WFC Megatron. Shockwave is much more fun to pose (has more useful articulation)

Hypothesis: Greatest Shockwave for now (until a Classics Style Shockwave is released). Solution: Purchase for the fact that it's Shockwave. (Now waiting for photo galleries showing a Marvel Comics Homage. Issue 5)

My problem with Shockwave is his left hand. I can never figure out a decent way to pose it because it's one of those curling iron hands. The right arm is fine because of the cannon, but DAMN, that left hand could really have used a swivel.
