Here's a couple more random figures I just finished:
These customs are really great.
On the one hand, I sort of wish these were official product so I could buy them at retail prices. On the other hand, I'm kind of glad these are customs so I don't have to worry about hunting for them in stores.
Also, if I could make one teensy-weensy little suggestion: switch the guns on Sureshot and Flywheels. Sureshot's nebulon sidekick, Spoilsport, turned into a double-barreled blaster. And Flywheel's carried a single-barreled rifle.
A minor quibble, but my OCD compelled me to type it.
And, obviously, they are awesome customs!
On the one hand, I wish these awesome custom Shapeways accessories didn't exist because of all the time they suck up to customize them. On the other hand, they look amazing on my shelves.
I certainly don't claim to be an especially skilled customizer, but I will say that my Kreons are easily the part of my collection I'm most proud of and feel involvement in. I smile every time I look at them.
I mainly went with those guns for the color match: maroon for Flywheels, red to Sureshot. I think the maroon is especially important for Flywheels since there is so little of it showing on him otherwise. I really wish there were more variety in colors among the stock Kreon weapons.
I may need to start looking for suitable matching model spray cans or learn how to mix my own airbrush paints so I can start expanding the breadth of the accessories I could use. I do own a basic airbrush, but I haven't spent the time to learn to become proficient with it yet.
I heard that Combiners are all the rage with the kids these days. I'm such a hepcat, I thought I'd share some of my own. Dig it, daddy-o!
The custom Combiner's look great.
Have you thought of making a Kreo Alpha Bravo and Rook to act as replacement limbs?
I actually have a rook Helmet ready to go if you are thinking about it...
The nouveau combiner limbs aren't really my thing, but Tresob's helmets are great in general, and I'd love to see your take on Rook. Also, I once did an Alpha Bravo decal set on request over in my decals thread (here).
So I've managed to wrangle up some more Geestawlts. Yeehaw!
The Decepticons have really stacked the deck when it comes to combiners:
The build here is largely cribbed off of Crazy Kre-O Transformers Guy on Facebook. The stylin' helmet is courtesy of Tresob, per usual.
Been meaning to ask where do you get those articulated hands from?
The hands are by WuLongTi. For my combiners I've been using his v1 hands. For Metroplex, I used his v2 hands. The v1 hands are a lot of work to put together.
That is an Awesome Metroplex!
Time for a little more Action Master love!
