Not a big fan of seekers but these are really nice, well done.

 

nice job painting Thrust. Like the homage to the original "bomb" missles the seekers came with, too.

 

Dirge and Thrust look great!! Hope mine look 1/10th as good as yours whenever I get around to doing them.

Thanks.The missiles were a bit of a comprimise,i wanted thrust to have different weapons to Dirge & Ramjet but didnt want to buy a Starscream just for two missiles.
Glad someone got what i was trying to do there.

 

I'm a seeker freak, it'd be hard to get one by me   Where did you get games workshop paints? I can't seem to find any in my town  

 

Im in the uk and my local Games workshop is about a 5 min walk away,plus i used to work for them so i have hundreds of paints.

ahh excellent, thanks. I have a sunstorm on my to-do list, its been there for over a year now   but I had written down a Tamiya paint that is similiar (TS-56, Brilliant Orange), but I'm not sure which way I'll go now.

 

I really like the shortened missiles on Thrust. Great idea. Much better than the originals.

Don't know why Ramjet comes with giant, er... "marital aids" strapped to his forearms. I mean between his name, and his head, isn't he phallic enough as it is?

well, considering the original Ramjet had what looked like Bombs for his arm weapons, the Classics version's weapons certainly made sense to me.

 

So how did you do Thrust? G1 wings, or something else?

yep, G1 wings. There's a tutorial on swapping wings for a Classics Thrust in our Tutorials forum, too.

 

Sorry should have said before.
The wings are indeed G1 Thrust wings cut down,panel lined & a few little details sculpted on.
Heres a link to some comparison shots..

The tail wings were made from fins cut off Classic Ramjet (the same ones i cut off to make Dirges cannards).

Redline is absoloutly right about the tutorial although i did things a little differently,its still pretty much the same process.
Anyone thinking about doing any of these for themselves should check out the tutorial & go for it,It`s only really Thrust that takes a bit of work.
Dirges mods are very easy,it only took me 25 min to finish.

 

Bro if you can email me a step by step custom of sunstorm , thundercracker, dirge and thrust... WE will greatly appreciate that because the 2 coneheads ( dirge and thrust ) costs a fortune here in the Philippines, so what we do is make the most out of the regular classics seeker to the fact that Ramjet is now rare and most of us here are trying to help other seeker fans complete their seeker collection and your custom repaints, techniques will really help us alot.

I never did do the Thrust wind mod. it You did a great job with those.

 

All excellent, digging Thrust even more than the Skywarp you had in the other thread! And there's a Games Workshop down the road from the flat, but i'd never checked em for paints til now for some reason... clearly they do the job well, will have to go see what's up.
