a lot of discussion is going arround for TF3 and 3D.... to simply put it, yes, no or maybe to 3D for next Transformers movie?

just so that if Bay & men happen to come into this thread they get an idea of what fans feel...if they even DO listn to fans...

I find it hard to see Bay and crew filming Transformers 3 in 3-D. I'm sure shooting a movie featuring CGI robots in 3-D will be very expensive, so I have to say no to 3-D.

3D does nothing special for me. Avatar didn't even need 3D, they didn't have those shots where they would shoot an arrow and it would come at you...

I voted maybe because If Bay is putting any more silly scenes like Simmons arse, testicles or robot humping, keep it in 2D.

Otherwise, if more robot lines, footage and "darker" tone is seriously going to be part of the next movie, I say bring it, but IMAX-3D.

The only obstacle that would prevent any 3D installment for a TF film would be the high cost. :dj

3D is a gimmick that only adds to the price of the ticket as far as I'm concerned.

If it is pulled off well I see no reason why it shouldn't be in 3-D.

Lets face it, it's the only way we're gonna get a TF movie with a bit of depth.

i'd say yes so long as it's done in the style that Avatar was done: without all the gimmicks and the OMG-STUFF-POPPED-OUT-AT-ME. it think it'd be really cool.

    I'm going to say maybe.

With talk of 3-D TV sets, sports in 3-D, all the other things they want to do in 3-D this could be that next step forward in entertainment. You have to remember that people were saying the same things about how we didn't need talkie films it was just a gimmick or how we didn't need color it was just a gaudy thing that was going to ruin movies.

How ever it's still really early in modern 3-D so not every film is going to be able to take the best advantage of it. Just like with anything new there is always going to be a learning curve about what's going to work and what doesn't work. Plus with Transformers 3 coming out next summer if it's put all their efforts into making a really good 2-D film or sub-par quality in 3-D I'd rather they focus their efforts on improving the experience of watching a live action Transformers movie.

Really it's going to be up to the production team if they think they would have time for it or if they just don't have the time to work it in on project this large where time is going to be pretty tight to begin with.

I'd rather them concentrate on a cohesive story and plot and character development.
