Shockwave!!! Yup another one. I fell in love with the Shockwaves I have seen from Frenzy_Rumble and ThyVipera and contemplated getting this commissioned. After doing some research and reading a lot of tutorials and threads I decided to take the dive and give it a shot. I am a pretty handy guy and can hold my own with a dremel and tools. Hey if I can maintain Nuclear Weapons for Uncle Sam for 8 years I can do this. LOL

So I got myself an Energon Shockwave, Universe Dropshot and off I went. Arms and cannon are from Dropshot, the rest is Energon Shockwave. Still a lot of tweaking and of course take it all a part and paint. The following is after just 30 to 40 minutes of work!!

UPDATE: Finally got this baby done! I am soooo happy the way it came out. I took my time and took it all apart and used a combination of Testor and Tamiya enamel and acrylic paints. This was really fun to do. Now I am working on making my G1 Dinobots to Classic Dinobots!!

All the credit goes to Frenzy Rumble and Thyvipera for the inspiration to do this!!!

That is something I noticed taking the pics, and doing a proper base for the cannon itself for a clean look.

Great job so far... I'm working on one too. Classics Shockwave - G1 homage

On a side note be very carefully with the leg joints as these lots of little parts... springs, etc.

Yep very good job. Nice paint and very smooth. What did you use for the hose piping on the cannon arm?

VERY nice! Always love seeing Shockwave customs. I agree about the shorter laser hand though.

I like it... I was planning on using some of the same parts. I'm curious... how did you attach the right arm to the right shoulder joint? Did you have to cut it down, or did it fit already?

    Thanks everyone!

For the hose I used the cable from an old cell phone charger I had laying around.

The canon is shorter, I chopped off a nice section in the center.

As far as fitting the right arm in the shoulder, I just had to trim it down with the dremel until it fit nice and snug. It still ratchets and its nice and tight.

Seeing the work of you guys on here you can't help but tear something up!! Especially I have a few holes in my classic collection that need to be filled and I am tired of waiting for Has/Tak for them. I am currently working on Grimlock, Slag and Sludge (thanks Frenzy Rumble) and then I want to start Brawn or Omega Supreme. But first I am going to finish my Ark Diorama so I can move some of my classics to the diorama!

First of all to the OP and customizer, great usermname!

Secondly, as someone who has made a "classics" Shocky before, I think you did a bang-up job. What colors of Testors and Tamiyas did you use?

For his chest I used Testors Model Master Acryl - Napoleonic Violet
