    That was Sgt. Pepper not Yellow Submarine, and it was not a remake.

    No, they get most of them right. When they dabble into 3D animation or make stupid direct-to-DVD sequels, then Disney get's it wrong (the non-Pixar 3D movies). They don't realize they should stick to 2D animation and let Pixar handle the 3D.

    And the new Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey looks like a perfectly fine horror movie. They might not have set out to make a horror movie, but their 3D animators certainly made it look like one.

    It's nice pre-work, especially for 10 years ago, but I think in hindsight I prefer the original to stand alone. I could justify an live-action version with heavy CGI for all the fantastical elements, but maybe we're better off without a remake. The original is a trip to behold, go see it if you haven't already (saying that to the board in general, not QLRformer individually).
