Hey everyone. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. My kids PS3 just quit last night. My youngest son was playing when it just started shutting off. He'd only been playing for a few minutes. I started researching, and it doesn't sound good.

    1. Have any of you guys had this happen?

    2. If so, did you fix it?

    It's a 20 gig fat, btw.

    Thanks.

Can't help you on my end, sorry. :(

I'll be monitoring the thread though - mines a 60Gig launch model, and though it's never failed me, it's getting on a bit now. I'm preparing myself in advance for it to die.

Have you checked the vents and such - if they're blocked it could perhaps be overheating?

I Have gotten The Yellow light of Death it Killed my PS3 After 5 Years just this year :(

The Only thing you can do is a Patch job it will fix it Long enough just to get the
memory out of it and transfer it to a Memory card

then you Probably should pick up a New One because the Patch job Varies
It Might Last an Hour Or It Might Last a Week or More or Less

I Watch This Video and Followed the Instructions and it Work I Was Able to Turn my Playstation on for little While :)

Heres the link I Hope This Helps :thumbs2:
