Awesome news about the Scrapmetal; I've been meaning to track down more of those (fantastic figure, btw) and a repainted one is even better.
As to Breakdown- is that supposed to be a Kup inspired paint scheme?

I thought they said they weren't going to be bringing over the other Scrapmetals... Not that I'm complaining, mind you, though I wish they'd gone with the blue version first...

They've probably seen the demand for them, and also because of Takara only doing a small run of their Rumbles, decided to change their mind.

What ever happened to that funky white, blue, and transparent green one though?

and... and... KUP! Holy crap, it's friggin' Kup! I felt the "Old timer" vibe from Brakedown the second I saw him, and fantasized about a blue kup repaint (C'mon, poor Kup has gotten very little attention in recent years), this is amazing, such great choice of colours too! Hasbro's repaint departement has done it again!

 

Scrapmetal - Dang. I was hoping Hasbro was going to do a completely different color (green or purple, for instance). Hopefully there'll be some minor differences between this and the yellow Takara release, as there was with the red one and the red Takara version.

Brakedown GTS - What is this "GTS" kick Cybertron is on lately? Anyway...not fond of this one. I like the mold, but that colour scheme is just too busy (and I think the Kup homage is a bit of a stretch). If they dropped the red and yellow, it would be a better Kup and look nicer too.

 

I'm with you on the yellow scrapmetal (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a blue one as well)!  

I'm passing on the Brakedown though.

 

I already have the GF yellow Ramble, so I don't need this Scrapmetal.... but Brakedown GTS looks all kinds of cool. I'm getting him!

Frekin' yeah! so glad they're not doing the heinous Universe-style repaint we saw a while back.

ever see War Within Kup? he had kind of similar shoulders going on. i agree it's a bit busy, and i like the mold but don't think i need to buy it again... (and the GTS thing is kinda annoying)

Now that we are getting a yellow scrapmetal, I bet it's only time until we get a blue one too.

 

I'm definitely getting yellow Scrapmetal. I have the red one and usually I'm against repaints, but this one I'm all for. I have to say I'd prefer to have a blue one as opposed to a yellow one though.

Yay! Yellow Scrapmetal! Now all we need is the Blue one... and hopefully the Coby version too or else I'm going to have to hunt down that feakin' TRU Japan exclusive boxed set!  

Like the Kup homage done with Brakedown. I'll definently be picking him up. Still, what's the deal with the GTS nonsense with all the speed planet repaints recently? I mean, aside from Clocker all the other speed planet character have simply had GTS slapped onto their tag name instead of being given an all new character name... that's just annoying...

GTS stands for GT Styling or Gran Turismo Styling. In essence, it is a way of hotting up cars to a near-Gran Turismo (GT) specification without manufacturing them as a pure GT. Cars labelled 'GTS' usually come from the manufacturer, but parts are available to buy for many cars to turn the standard model into something a little more special. So it's Brakedown, but suped up.  

Both repaints are must buys for me.
