Yeah I thought that was pretty re-god-damn-diculous when I read it last night. Omega Knight wasn't the one acting twelve in that thread.
I like Omega Knight. Three cheers for Omega Knight! He's at least as bright as posters thrice his age. Hell, I don't know how to post a movie on a thread like that!
I just read the thread. That wasn't nice. Omega Knight is a 12 year old kid, you can't expect him to comprehend such jokes. So far he has conducted himself nice on this board, not like some kids on other boards with cussin', flaming etc. He's new you have to give him some slack.
That was kinda harsh if He didn't get the joke, still it would seem he is o.k anyway, welcome back Omega Knight.
Jeez, guys, it was just a joke. I knew the kid would figure it out. Besides, I didn't see any of you jumping in to tell him it was just a joke or anything. You could have PMed him telling him too if you felt that bad. Anyways, welcome back kid. Don't fall for our crap.
Actually I don't usually go into the Fuzzy World, I only saw the thread this evening thanks to a quote by someone.
While I admire omega knight's good behaviour, sense of humour, and ability to follow the rules (a task which some older members have had difficutly with in the past), I feel that his posts could seriously benefit from some punctuation... Just sayin'...
So teach him! Kids ages 8-14 process stuff REALLY fast if they receive the same information in a favorable format. If you politely point out that he's made a punctuation or grammar error in one of his posts - heck, if we all do that every once and a while, not all the time - it will probably help him a lot. In my opinion, there's a difference between CHOOSING not to use proper grammar & punctuation and just not knowing...and I figure Omega Knight has more of the latter going on.
Perhaps, but at 12 years old, I recieved enough schooling to have some grasp on punctuation (i.e. I knew to end my sentences with periods). I'm not expecting him to write the perfect sentence or anything, I'd just like to at least see some periods here and there, maybe a comma or two. Seems to me like he's simply choosing not to use proper grammar. However, that's just how it looks to me, I could be totally wrong, and he may very well need help. In which case, I'd be more than happy to provide assistance.
