I was about to start a thread about this.

In spite of the steaming pile of feces that was Ninja Gaiden 3, I can't help but get excited for this. Keiji Inafune? Yes, please.

I would prefer they go back to the original NG formula where any opponent could deliver a death strike. But if they are going to keep the NG3 formula where the enemy army's main talent is to stand there and die, then that might actually work this time because they are zombies.

Anyway, keeping my eye on this one.

Could ... be interesting? Keiji Inafune is certainly not a name to be ignored. On the other hand, I haven't seriously cared about a Ninja Gaiden game since NG Black; hopefully he can bring some much needed direction to an Itagaki-less Team Ninja.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was great, QuinJester.
What didn't you like about it?

Ehhh. I couldn't really get into it. Both the original NG and NG Black I completed on the hardest possible difficulty levels. Playing NG Sigma 2 (no 360, so maybe the original was significantly different from the PS3 remake, I dunno) just didn't have the same draw. I never got past the third or fourth level, I don't think. I left off at a giant metal fish in a sewer that you could only hurt by shooting it.

Stairway from laggy hell in NG2 (360) was an unforgettable part of an amazing game. Actually just finished NG3 about a month ago, and it was pure torture... this looks good, and I'm hoping that this franchise gets back on track.

...Very intrigued by this, but I'm going to remain skeptical until it is actually out to be honest. Team Ninja's last few games sorta left a bitter taste in my mouth. I hope it goes well, however. Really digging the direction of this spin-off.

This game's actually developed by Spark Unlimited who don't have the greatest of track records ...

Where you take on the Spider Ninja Clan?
I don't remember any lag -but the camera sure had problems keeping up.

I liked that the lagginess gave the battle a slow-motion kind of aspect, and made it much more epic to me than if were at full speed. I still believe that Team Ninja purposely did this on purpose.

Okay -yeah, it did slow down because there was so much to process at once.
I was thinking of lag in terms of network performance -duh!

That was my big complaint with 2, the lack of polish. Between glitches, poor camera angles, and other oddities it brought down the level of the game too much. Still fun, not a bad game, but still think 1 was much better.
