I just wanted to come here and point out a very cool new service from yahoo. Its called ONE Search. Its a utility for anyone that needs any info. But what I wanna talk about is its usefulness for mobile phones. As some may remember I got a Sidekick ID some time back. Well I did a search for mobile compatable sites and came across this gem. All you do is save it as a fave and access it when you need it.

Here is the best feature, say your driving along and get hungry. Just type the zipcode and type of food you want. It will list all avaliable in that area. It will give you the directory listing as well as directions if need be. And if you need to call, just highlight the word "call" and it will place the number in your dialer (the last part may be phone specific).

Its a great service and I find it really useful. Give it a try and see if you like it.

Its also integrated into yahoo2GO app for some phones. I can't get the app because of the limitations set by Danger (the Sidekick OS company). But I hope one gets released soon.

Nope, not spam. I had an experience with this and figured I would share with others. Why would you label this spam? Because someone recommends something? Hmmm. That just seems odd. But in any case if the mods deem this spam, I will not contest. But I assure you this is not my intent. Its not as though I work for Yahoo. My employer was made known several weeks back during the sunrocket fiasco.

    Cheers

My Blackberry has a GPS enabled phonebook on it, and I'm pretty sure that they make versions for any cellphone with location based services built in (which is just about any newer cell phone).

All you do is search and the GPS tells the phonebook where you are and shows all the closest places.

That stuff's only available in Kuwait City and even if I could get my hands on some we aren't allowed any food/drink items when we go through customs. Trust me, you're not missing out on much anyway - think Coke without the carbination, almost a Jager like consistency. It's super sweet.
