The third party X-Transbots just released the XP-1s the silver thigh version with renewd fists and U form part.which will make the TFE20 more articulated and accurate to G1 image.

First post, congrats.  

Actually went with the Junkion Blacksmith upgrade set personally, after I heard/saw the QC issues with XP-01. Glad to hear they fixed some of them for XP-01S.

I consider anything I buy that falls apart without even touching it garbage, this falls firmly into that category.

 

Enhanced in what sense? Actually fits on your toy and doesn't fall apart?

i just got my JB kit last night, its pretty freaking awesome with great quality minus the fingers that are one piece

 

I should get mine on Friday. One piece fingers are better than fall apart fingers!  

 

Besides the colour changes, what's the difference between this and the previous one? Better fingers and wider slot for the Head?

 

Pisses! Got the first version....fingers fall off(terrible that this qc made it past the prototype stage) the poorly designed interior of the head theat could have been laid out different so that the led shines in the middle of the visor instead of the right side. Oh and the moding the new product outta the box so that it will fit properly.......sent them a message to their fb page and all I got was the upgraded silver version has the finger fix.....thanks not buying a second set fixed or not! I also got their wildchild.....they assembled it wrong so now I am stuck with two right upper arms, which would be ok if they were one piece molded but they are two pieces so the left arm now has two screws facing forward instead of to the back...no responds from transbotx on that qc issue

 

ARE there any fan mods that fix the fingers?

 

quite honestly i dont think the independent fingers are worth the $10-20 more it cost for that xp kit and really tho, the g1 devastator isnt the most agile for displaying as it is even with fancy fingers

 

I'll admit that I like the aesthetics of this set (sans the chest shield) more than JB but the crappy QC issues widely reported with the first release made me stay away. In the end, I'd rather have something that looks decent and with solid QC/playability than something that looks good but falls apart at the slightest touch (and is ill fitting).
