Has anyone tried evasion prime in the armor yet?

Not that I'm aware of? I'm actually PLANNING on testing it out once EM Prime shows up in my area or, if he doesn't show up before Botcon (entirely possible, my local stores are HORRID) I'm bringing my Trailerforce with me and will steal a friends to test it^^

It SHOULD work, I think, EM Prime's tractor-cab has comparable dimensions to classics Prime and as far as I know the legs can fold down like classics Prime?

On a side note... I only recently got my Trailerforce and I've gotten Chroma Hand's Mini-cannon brackets... but I see mention of a backpack mod and... I'm afraid I am uncertain as to what is being spoken of? (I know it's likely blindingly obvious, I just honestly missed it, coming in late as I have)

 

Well the mold with a few mods screams Ginrai and with a repaint would work well. I just need to know if it will fit and if the combined head can fit in the hole I see on the cab.

 

Heee, yes, this is my evil plan as well Tekkaman^^ When I first saw EM Prime I went That's it! That's Ginrai! Especially how long and lean he is in robot mode, which fits Ginrai's animation model (human/suit-on at least)
I'd love to see one with movie style flames though, as I think that decal would suit Ginrai very well in personality AND would pull on the 'Fire Guts' ^^

Based on this mod I have my own plans, I'm hoping I can get the Alternators head to fit. I just need to know it works combined as I'm considering the exclusive chrome version as it will look better with Xovergen.

Not sure if it works, but it's not that much bigger than G1 Prime in truck mode. So it's a possibility.

 

I left for work early today and stopped at a ToysRUs and was able to get an evasion mode optimus^^

I'm glad to say that he fits in my Trailerforce very well! It is not perfect, but he is snugly in place and held up well to a shake test. I took some pictures, but am having trouble accessing my photobucket so I will have to simply attach the images here

My apologies that he is not the Vindicator version, but as the discussion of 'will EM Prime fit' came up here, I felt this was the best place to post.

I quite like it too, and I love how EM Prime looks in both modes (which I have never been able to say about Classics Prime (though I always loved his stack rifle).

I'm likely going to get the Premium version for my REAL ginrai when it comes out (although I am interested in seeing if there will be a version with flames at some point^^) due to A: chrome and B: facemask (which ginrai had)

I'm trying to sort out how to get the trailer to attach in tractor-trailer mode and I'm wondering if there's a way to have a engine forming ginrai to complete the set

 

When people say the premium version do they mean the Takara version? I tend to avoid movie toys so I'm not up on things…

Those heartmasters that come with FansProject Steelcore and Not-Roadbuster would be nice, but would involve getting one of those figures (which are not cheap) and THEN having to come up with an attachment.

 

I have no idea if the Takara version has chrome or not (like you, I don't keep up with the movie toys... I was just a'hunting EM Prime)
From what I understand, in the second or third wave of the movie toys, there will be a 'premium' two pack of voyager EM Prime and voyager grimlock with chrome for both and a facemask for Optimus.

Huh, good point on the FP core toys... on all aspects... (that it would fit size and transformation wise, the cost and 'how to get it to attach')

 

How well do the reds match up?

 

The EM Prime is a trifle brighter a red(hint of orange in it), but honestly it matches fairly well and the silvers match perfectly.

 

Hmm. I'm thinking with the trailer that if I take the modifier (for G1) and add 5mm pegs that line up with the ports on the legs it should attach securely.

 

Were there any issues with this set?

 

Got mine In the process of repainting modding it so it looks more like GinRai



But the front looks close decent enough to post.
