I've got a Xbox360 but I don't have online. So, which one should I buy? Also, post reasons why.
The "back piece thing".
Definately the xbox thing. Nobody should buy that...THING that is Supreme Devastator.
You mean that toy that actually has it's merits?
Still, go get Xbox Live. Or that online thing you call it.
So, the "back piece thing" is the Xbox 360 Wireless adapter?
If so, buy any wireless bridge instead.
I have seen them as low as $15 these days so there is absolutely no reason to ever buy the $100 "back piece thing".
Actually, I see Supreme Devastator on discount soon, too.
$15, really? I only see them as $100.
Do you have wiireless internet? If not, the wireless adapter won't help your case. You have to have a wireless router sending out a signal from your modem. It kinda sounds like you don't exactly know what it is.
No wireless signal = no reason to get the "back peice thing"
Then get Devy.
adaptor: always in store
devastator: stupid scalpers. makes it near impossible to find.
If you have wireless you can get a normal $20-30 adaptor, then configure it to wireless network on your pc, turn off automatic address assignment, called DHCP server or something, then plug into the 360's ethernet port
LOL @ "back piece thing"
Just keep in mind that if this Back Piece Thing is your first venture into online with the 360 that you will still have to pay to be on gold and play with other people, so consider that in your budget.
QFT. Also, you don't need the wireless adapter to gain access to Xbox Live. As others said, you can use a 3rd party wireless bridge to the same effect, and for far less money. It sounds like you might be new to the world of networking, so if that's too complicated, why not just run a long ethernet cable from your modem to the 360. In my current and previous apartments I just ran a long cable to avoid the expense, lag, and connection issues that a wireless adapter could cause.
That said, I picked up the official 360 wireless adapter from best buy, marked down as open box, and paid for with store credit, and am reasonably pleased with its performance, and my wife is pleased that the ugly, kinked cable is finally gone.
The short answer is, Devastator will be marked down in the future, but the 360 adapter is holding fast to $100 for the long run, so get that if you want and get devs cheaper, later.
Yeah,I would go with Online Xbox. Devi will be there, trust me, and he will be priced down.
Really if you're going for XBL a wireless adapter is not the best bet. As other's have said the ethernet cord is much easier on your wallet and reduces the chance of disconnection and lag. Get a long cable instead.
HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more! is your friend for cheap ethernet cables. Don't waste your money on a wireless connection.
Supreme Devastator is expensive, looks ugly, and individual Constructicons can't even transform into bots. Go for 360 Gold membership; it's only about $4 per month and it doesn't disappoint, like the toy.
Buy a shitload of cake.
Cake > Devastator.
Yes, buy cake, cake is good.
the cake is a lie.
