Xbox Live Rewards Gives You "Money" For Nothing

At the time Kotaku wrote that article the site was taken down. They do have a screenshot of what some of the rewards are on their site. However, the main site is now live. You can head over to Xbox LIVE Rewards to sign up.

It's bullshit that it only works in the US and UK though... I feel discriminated... :/

I was part of the pilot program. It was pretty cool. I don't spend tons but it was nice to get a little bit back (stinks that I just barely renewed my Live membership last week for the 10x XP WFC weekend)

If you spent 2400 points in October, that's where they came from.

So this program isn't available in Canada? No wonder I couldn't sign up. I was getting a headache trying to figure out why when I tried sign up using my XBox Live account it just showed some stupid generic account and said "Sign up for Gold" when I am Gold! GRRRRR!! I wish I could have signed up for this last week. I bought a shit ton of DLC and arcade games.:banghead:

When I was in the pilot program I would always get a message after each month saying how many points I had earned.

Usually the message I got was a few days in advance. I can't remember if it told you the date when the points would be deposited.

How are you guys getting points from this anyway if it wasn't launched until now? I wonder if I'll get credit for the stuff I bought last month along with my membership renewal. That would be great (but I don't think it's likely)

They've always had a scheme going. Buy all the arcade of summer games and we'll give you 1200 points, buy these set of 3 and get 400 back etc etc.

Can't see myself really getting excited over this. I'll be getting a maximum of 30 points a month if I bother with the survey, so it would take at least 3 months to buy the cheapest of Avatar gear.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but this just seems like a way to try and justify the price hike whilst still offering as little as possible. Then again, maybe Im just butthurt because I'll never get anything decent from this as Im not buying family gold subscriptions every other month.

    Meh,

Looks like a cheap way to get people to buy stuff.

Not regretting switching over to PSN soon.
