The only game I have any interest in this summer is Tony Hawk. No stupid motion controls in favor of classic controls? Will definitely buy the first day it comes out.

Can hardly believe Dust is finally coming out. But yeah, that and Deadlight are a lock for me. I'm also leaning favorably toward Tony Hawk.

My kids have had some fun with Wreckateer.

I played through the trial of Deadlight last night and decided to get it.
It's a little slow moving, but I like it; seems like a hybrid of Shadow Complex and Limbo.

Unless Dust just somehow happens to be really bad I'll be getting that, too.

    Dust is out.
    Go get it.

Deadlight was a strange beast for me.
I really enjoyed the game at first, but man was I ready to just be done with it.
It has the glimmer of a fantastic game about it marred by some odd design choices.

    It's too dark.
There are many times when you're surrounded by zombies but it's so dark that it's impossible to tell which dark silhouette is yours and which ones are zombies. This is made even more complicated when there are zombies shambling from the background into the foreground but you can't even interact with them until they get in the foreground.

When you discover things the items or text pop up over the playing field and literally obscure the game. What's bizarre is sometimes they jump from the extreme left or right of the screen where they're just an annoyance to directly over your character so you can't see what you're doing.

The cut scenes are poorly drawn and don't reflect the game engine at all.
Not only that, but they don't match the narrative of the game.
You'll have three zombies ten paces behind you in the game but then a cut scene appears and there are dozens of zombies all around you.

But my biggest gripe of the game is that the game's character, Randall Wayne, literally never shuts up. He comments on things around him, he vocalizes solutions to puzzles, he just talks, talks, talks.

Still, it's pretty entertaining. There's some neat references to things in the 80s, but I really temper my earlier recommendation.

    Now on to Dust!

I liked the hybrid trial enough to get it. Interesting third person shooter, a little on the easy side though.

    Is there a campaign mode?
I thought it was all multiplayer.

Honestly, I figured my 3rd person shooter time would be consumed by Fall of Cybertron and didn't even look at it.

No campaign, I mean it was easy in that you could get a fair amount of kills with ease, as opposed to Gears where you could unload a gnasher into an enemy and miss his hit box with half your shots.

It seemed bad to me because you couldn't move around freely, to move you have to fly to different cover. You can't even just fly around randomly :/ Feels far too automated for me.

THPS Is good, but man do I need to practice. I suck ass at it now.

Deadlight is good. Man am I unlocking achievements left and right in this game.

Haven't tried Hybrid or Dust. I'm annoyed that Wreckateer is Kinet only. No Kinect for me.
