I just saw a photo of this guy in colour and have changed my mind. Now I want him!!
The head/face issue doesn't seem like it'll be a terribly difficult fix. Not a big loss for me if I lose the light up feature doing so.
Solve that and I think it will be the best looking of the two Leader Class Skyfires for CHUG.
Then you are wrong. Do you compare Grinder with Animated Voyager Grimlock because they are both the same character?
My youngest son loves aminated Grimlock. Animated Megatron is awesome too. There are what they are. For kids. And faithful executions of the animated Grimlock and Megatron characters.
Even if the X2 Skyfire is not compared to Phoenix, it is still ugly and not well executed at all. Not worth the $100 or so they want for it. I already have the original BSG Colonial Viper and don’t feel the need for another one.
Even with the arms and the head it is a very good likeness to the cartoon model and a very playable chug SKyfire at a very good price.
I'm getting this guy and if i'm Lucky it's an easy fix to swap the helmet for the T30 Jetfire's head or something.
I want a Skyfire toy and Phoenix is just too damn big.
To me the face looks like Luke's helmet's blast shield from A New Hope, but transparent.
Daca's Kronos made it to production. Titan didn't, which was a modern Jetfire version of the mold. One that I thought looked really good.
I'm glad that some 3rd parties are continuing with the main line of official figures. We need more variety like this. I mean, really, we have this and MMC's reformatted line that have figures that can fit in the main line. Other than that, it's all Masterpiece, and this is coming from a masterpiece collector LOL
Never heard of the Titan Jetfire. It does look cool. I really like the jet pack on the a Titan.
Hey guys, you may have seen the new item of X2TOYs Studio, the XT010 Sky Crusher. Here are some new images of its base mode, which are showing the guarding group together with some original designed soldiers / warriors.
As shown in the images, with the soldiers / warriors, the base mode is perfectly matched, forming an interesting guarding scence. Moreover, the face of the headmaster can be replaced. The eyes of Sky Crusher can be lightened up with an electronic part, which can be carried by the little soldiers / warriors.
The little soliders / warriors are designed as a supporting troop, while the headmaster will be the one who fights in the battlefield. The supporting soldiers / warriors are also in charge of the regular guarding work and the maintenance and repairment stuff.
Wish you guys would like them. Stay tune and this item will be released very soon!
I'm getting Fansproject flashbacks.
But i love this design. I'm buying this not Skyfire.
Looks like some of the pics are not rendering.
I'm getting this one as long he is taller than Generations. Then I'm ripping his head off and putting Generations' head on it.
im getting a real robot jox vibe from these pics
Head on! Hahahaha(evil laugh).
I' so torn. I want a big whompin' jet-Transector for my Titan Masters to joyride in...but he is so clearly SkyJetfire that he'll be hard to adapt to anyone else...but white is the easiest thang to paint...so yeah. Decisions....
Edit- Solution: Make alternate colors in various Macross colorways, and I'll buy as many as you print.
Why don’t they just do a Southern Cross Veritech Hovertank Mode. Then I will buy it.
After all the new shots, I feel like this is a good looking toy. Just not Jetfire/Skyfire/Whateverfire. He'd be great as a separate figure, especially with the (in my opinion) weird choice of making him an headmaster. I especially liked the green "Zaku" colored test shots. This feels like the spiritual successor to FansProject's steelcore/steelian line.
I'm still very leery about X2's stuff. What I've gotten from them in the past has... well. Frankly their past figs kinda suck. Anyone handled him yet that wants to weigh in?
Kind of sad that Kronos really did nail the look. Unfortunately, it was a piece of junk.
