I feel he is a tad out of scale for my MP shelf based on reviews.

I have him too but still MISB. Hoping for another option to come around.

 

He is out of scale but I like the size. I'm sure Fanstoys will come through and make a sweet carbot sized one

 

The UT Blurr was a bit too blocky for my tastes
Movie bots should have more curvature. even the flat surfaces tend to be wavy (like the fronts of Hot Rod's upper arms)

I too grabbed me a UT Springer today to tide me over whilst I wait for this. XTB are so hot right now. Add to that the speed to release (well, aside from Dante and Abaddon, of course but there are reasons there!) And we got ourselves a real contender for most bots per company in my collection. Takara is still in the lead, I think, but not by much! I really must do a collection by company photo shoot at some point!

 

I really believe that XTB is up there with TT when it comes to amazing designs. The only part in which TT comes ahead is in transformations.

IF XTB were to smooth them a bit (not that they are bad, but a bit unemployable at certain spots - Eligos-) and if their QC would just stay as is or better, no other 3P company would touch them, hell, even TT would have an actual contender finally.

There is also the SXS version, but it is not G1 aesthetic, or Masterpiece scale. Still a cool, solid figure though.

 

Only thing that worries me (outside of possible QC issues) is this is a render. Last time I bought a figure from Xtrans on a render they changed it all up (Ditka).

 

Up for preorder from the little toy company in melbourne. Eta dec 2017, A$150. This will probably be my first order from them (still undecided on UT Bruticus) since they allowed pickup from their store.

I am probably a FT gusher. As much as I WANT to proclaim FT Apache as the definitive MP Springer for my collection, I can't (though I still might grab him).

Whatever faults may lie in store with his QC, transformation, or vehicle modes, this guy's robot mode is the best I've seen thus far. I own the XTB Cyclonus and Scourge, and while I haven't transformed either more than once - and they are essentially shelf-warming statues in my display - they look the part....just like this guy.

 

You're in luck. Their QC has gotten better

 

Any new news on projected release dates @ibot ? I'd like to see him come out and a sample review before Fans Toys, I like the aesthetics of XTB's version better than any other future offering that's out.

 

I thought he looked really good with my Ultra Magnus and MP-9 Rodimus. The newer movie guys coming...maybe not so much but I'll make it work. He is really nice.

 

There's no way he's going to beat fanstoys to market. We haven't even seen an actual prototype yet have we? Apache is already at color test shot stage.

 

Unfortunately your probably right, I was hoping ibot could at least get a test shot out to solidify their offering.

 

The way they got Aegis and Paean out to market so quickly was unusual for them. Now it's back to a snail's pace. I'm confident that FT's version will drop before theirs does.
