THIS is Springer!

 

This one looks to be the best in bot mode, but the car mode reminds me of a Cybertronian bus   There also seems to be minimal transformation going from copter to "bus" mode.

 

Love the bot mode but I would take a shorter chopper and car mode from roof to bottom. I surprisingly going to say fanstoys wins on looks for this guy as well in both alt modes. If they made that same area shorter on the bus and the helicopter, it would have been a different story.

 

I think this one can be the best but I agree that it needs to be shorter and even flatter on the car with the front wheel armatures that should move up closer to the front grill. I think everyone gets the chopper and bot right and gets lazy with the car and leaves it looking bulky and doing nothing to give it the right racing car profile.

I'm beginning to like this more than FTs.
Wish it came with the missile launcher too for that suppository, I mean missile.

 

I have Allen and weirdly it's not the toes I didlike, it's the face. Nothing about it looks like Springer. Besides that, the feet/legs are so super chunky he feels awesome but only really matches other big bots like magnus. Put him next to Hotrod and it looks weird.

Fanstoys = lifeless bot mode
unique toys = Good all round a tab bulky
XTB = weird chunky end tall car mode.

None are perfect, they all make sacrifices in one area to save another area. I think you would be happy with any of them but I think XTB will win over all.

for G1 aesthetic, I wouldnt look to MMC or toyworld. I do quite like Open play though but want to see more pics.

 

would be really cool if it had the flip up arm blaster.

Not sure why MMC keeps getting down graded or compared to. IMO and using Cheem great collage of all the Springers, MMC has the most accurate of all 3-modes because they went with Studio OX, while the others struggle to even come close in 1-2 modes next to the cartoon version. TW, unfortunately, is the weakest of the bunch, as I don't know what they were attempting to do with the vehicle mode. Robot says Studio but that vehicle is just looks like they hit the F' it button when they got there.

That aside and back to the cartoon aesthetics I prefer, XTB seems to be the closest with getting closer on at least 2 modes. I'm just not sure how it will look against the other Movie characters i.e. Kup and Arcee, as I plan on sticking with FT there.

I have FT's version on preorder but this is looking fantastic. Love the looks of all 3 modes.

Toyworlds are all modern version of the G1 toys. It sort of gives them a weird look that doesn't fit with other companies.

 

think i'm going to cancel my fanstoys springer order with tfs express later and swap the pre order for this.... going to cancel koot at the same time and wait on kfc/xtb kup as looking better... been meaning to cancel my koot order for a while

 

just fired over an email to tfs-express will be pre ordering this as soon as apache is canceled

I don't know about that and will have to take your word for it. TW looks like they tried to follow SO on robot and helicopter so deciding to go a completely different route on the vehicle is why I question it. I actually like what MMC did for the vehicle mode because I just don't get what it was supposed to be otherwise in the cartoon/movie. Being a cartoon completest is only reason why I did pass on them.
