So I forgot that I preordered this guy when I bought one at TFcon and now I have a second one xD

Guess thisll do as my fix for the broken tab on my original! (Or now I'll have one to keep in that sexy vehicle mode :3)

((And no chest chipping on either of mine *thumbs up*))

Thanks for the responses on Flipout. I'm having an easier time getting him back into car mode now.

I just received him and Crackup yesterday. Menasor was always my favorite combiner as a kid, and was a grail that eluded me until 2002 or so. I also bought the Fansproject M3 as well as the Unite Warriors Stunticon set. I was very intrigued when I saw this set and decided to go down the rabbit hole after seeing Emgo's review of Crackup.

So far I really like these guys with their toon vibe and MP scale. I do wish their instructions were a little better though. I thought Flipout was kinda shoddy until I saw a video detailing how to actually tab the doors into the shoulders and how to lock in the backpack. While the transformations have improved leaps and bounds over my prior experiences (as much as I love how the Fansproject set looked, only Diesel and their Dead End are anything even remotely approaching enjoyable to transform), these are still a little more fiddly than your average Takara MP. Still fun to mess with, and impressive figures in their own right, eventual gestalt mode aside!

Crazy how I'm hearing some got a response from X-transbots and yet I didn't hear anything back from them at all. I emailed the people I brought it off and they are taking over on my behalf :(

Nope; it's fine but the blue paint with metallic flakes seems to be thicker than the white one. So it catches the light differently.
But he can do without breast surgery LOL

You can also see some orange peel effect, but you need Perceptor to see it in hand.

    XTB came a long way.
Paint is still not on the same level of FT or Gigapower, but with this guy we are very, very close.

I'm not too keen on re-tabbing those side doors, either. (I think they're the hardest part to tab and untab, as opposed to the rear half.) As for the feet, I slide the flat end of a spudger in under the doors to correct the foot positioning as I hinge the two halves of the car together.

Still waiting on my Flipout from tfs-express, since Oct 22. Not impressed with their shipping company at all. It took them 3 days just to ship it, and 11 days just to leave China:/ Their tracking system SUCKS. No details other than “arrived at airport” for about a week now. And no idea what airport. Sticking with TD and TCP for these guys from now on.

Same here. I actually bought with their middle tier service and complained so I got $2 back in the form of a voucher. They claim the issue is that they switched to a new shipping company and haven't sorted things out yet, but I'm not sure I'm willing to take a chance with them again.

Yup. I'm in the exact same spot. Ordered mine on the 22nd, chose 5-day shipping. Just checked this morning and the status still says "departing airport." Really hoping my copy doesn't have any issues.

I could see I could see how those translucent pieces would be susceptible to breakage. I personally did not have any trouble with them though.

Blah here you guys are breaking yours and taking sweet pictures and my Flipout is stuck in transit with Canada Post "rotating strikes". Delivery date keeps getting pushed back as each city takes turns striking...

Edit: and pushed back again. le sigh...

Got mine from Baba last Saturday.

    Pros:
    + Incredible paint.
    + Good alt mode.

    Cons:
    - Those shoulders are atrocious. Ball joint for shoulders ain't new. Maketoys Visualizers did it a LOT better than this. At this point, MP Sunstreaker's shoulders should be the standard in the industry.
    - Head and waist rotation are equally atrocious.
    - Somewhat floppy waist bend.

Not sure what kool aid people are drinking. There's a reason this thing is priced the way it is. Take another carbot from another third party like MMC's Sphinx, it's still better than this (except the paint).

Not a bad figure, but not a good one either.

"Figure breaks during review", Id still recommend this guy..... Nope hard pass. Never thought it looked that great designwise, the giant diaper, face sculpt, etc. Might have to wait and see how FTs looks as the DX9 ones arent blowing me away either.

Agree with all points except shoulders---they do what they say on the box, so to speak. Not as good as Sunstreaker's, but not bad.

Think what's saving this one [and Crackup] is the relative silence on the 3p MP front, or on the MP front in general. Last proper carbot to come out was...Sunstreaker about a year ago? Early January?
