That's actually my plan, but many others will choose the TT version and call it a day. I'd hate for XTB/KFC to miss on that $$$ that could potentially finance other great projects.

I know my FT version is hitting Ebay as soon as XTB/TT shows theirs.

 

I get that sovereign might not check all the boxes, but we haven't even seen a prototype or new renders. How is that possible?

iBot has made a few random comments about this figure in the Paean/Aegis thread recently, so if you want more info I'd search on his posts there.

 

Bloated, unnecessary die cast doesn't make a figure better IMO. They do decent bots, but XTB/KFC has them beat when it comes to looks. All my recent KFC/XTB purchases have zero problems except for Ditka, that was recently fixed by KFC in some way. But the others are just as good as my FT ones.

They might not feel like a 20 lb dumbell, but they look amazing on the shelf!

 

I do agree with you I have most of KFC/XTB bots and all of fanstoys. Keith makes good looking bots and I'm perfectly happy with Transistor, doubledeck, eligos, andras, junkions, windcharger, beachcomber, etc. I have Apeface coming tomorrow hopefully, and I'm crossing my fingers he's good. But I just have more faith in a quality bot from fanstoys. I hope Keith puts out a good galvatron but I wouldn't be selling Sovereign as soon as you see a prototype. Abaddon won't be out for at least 6 months. Hoping Keith gets Cliffjumper and the Fem bots out asap

I tried to get some info out of him in that thread and got a generic, "it's coming along great. we'll have something to show soon!"

I reiterated that he should show literally anything at this point to keep people from jumping ship (and we all know that a single picture of even just the cannon attachment sitting on a black background would have been enough).

Nothing further about it was said, and I bought Sovereign the next day (which, IMO has a meh cannon mode, but the bot is one of the best 3P toys I've ever handled).

I'd still be interested in seeing Abaddon, but the almost 2 year gap in any kind of information on him is such a turn off at this point, I'm not sure I'd switch out no matter how great it was.

 

QC might not be better, but I'm damn sure the cannon will look a hell of alot better than that mess that is Sovereign ( and I have him but never transformed to cannon cause it looks like shit)

 

XTB and KFC releases as of recent have been knocked out of the park. Simba was a shining example.
Apollyon is still my #1 Megatron and I have them all and love them all. Their KingGorilla and Kingzilla look top notch and our on my radar.

Then I look at all of my XTB and KFC releases like Transistor and Scourge, Cyclonus, Daistack, Apollyon, Blitzwing, Wreckgar, and I can keep going... all pure Masterpiece .

The notion that people have that XTB / KFC is not a real player in the game any more are simply wrong and are missing out.

Can they beat Sovereign ? Maybe, maybe not. I love Sovereign. He will never go anywhere. Do I hope XTB eventually releases Abaddon? Of course.

I don't see XTB and KFC as competition for FT or any other.. They have their style and so does FT.
I've always like how XTB/KFC don't get in pissing matches or a race to the finish when a character is in the works from another company. That really puts KFC on top for me overall.

Now if that would kindly drop their Deathsaurus, they will continue to prove my point that this guy is going to continue to make them one of my top makers of dreams into reality.
