Fuck me. I think I paid twice that for a day 1 purchase. I remember I was among the first on the boards with pics and impressions. And now that I'm only doing seasons 1 & 2 I'm fucked for resale value, apparently.

 

You can't base resale value on 1 time sales- everything goes on sale at some point. However most TFs slowly depreciate from their release date over time as other options become available. Andras originally sold for $149- you'll probably never find someone willing to pay that- unless they really want it. FT's Scourge will probably trump this mold.

That's why I don't preorder anything. I know eventually I'll get it for 20% to 30% less than release pricing. When you factor in the crappy Canadian dollar value it just makes things a little more fair. These things are vastly overpriced.

If I told you what I've paid for some of my MPs- you'd think I stole them.

 

Oh, I totally get it. And I don't feel too bad when just about every MP I buy gets their price slashed eventually. If you want that shiny new fig on day 1, ya gotta pay to play. I don't feel bad about that at all. Likewise, I just scored a brand-new Delta Magnus, shipped, for $109. Because it wasn't something I needed immediately, I was patient and saved a bundle. It's the simple realities of playing the game.

 

Hmmm. I didn't remember seeing Andras as part of tf-direct's Christmas sale. Oh well. $95 shipped is a good deal for Andras even with it being just over a year since its release.

It makes me wonder how low XTB Eligos will drop if I wait. Not to mention that FT may very likely announce their MP Cyclonus and or Scourge in the meantime.

 

That will be great for everyone who wants an undersized, blocky Cyclonus / Scourge with soulless dead behind the eyes look.

Yeah. I own everything Fanstoys thus far but KFC/XTB owns season 3. I won't be showing up those FTs designs. It is good for everyone who wants the smaller scale figures though. Small Kup to go with small MP Hotrod.

 

Why do you assume FT would make Scourge and Cyclonus undersized? The silhouettes of them around Sovereign looked the right size to me.

I mean relative to XTB. I am making the leap that their Scourge and Cyclonus will be shorter than Andras and Eligos. Based on Soveriegn who is shorter than Tyrant
