Well I picked up this guy from baba and received him today. Def v2 with the screws and missing instruction piece. Seems a little fragile and that roll cage is a pain. Looks pretty damn good in bot mode though. One bot closer to mini completion.

Well, it's a good time for minibots fans (Cosmos and Seaspray's wars, BC reissues, DX9 joining the game), expecially S2, so the only Beachcomber under the sun is getting deserved attention!

    Got it today.
It's both solid and fragile at the same time: stiff joints, good heft, excellent paint, but fiddly bits and transformation... and a small crack in a panel (also some steps look unnecessary: I'm fine with the bumper on the knees and the straight headlights).
    And, of course, looks awesome.

It's at the other end of the spectrum with my Toyworld minibots (which are solid and chunky) but I like them all in different ways.

I wasn't a fan of the minibots but I'm changing my mind, the small size makes everything (details, paint, posability) even more incredible. It's not like the old minibots (smaller=simpler), simplification is minimal and we get great figures in such a small size.

Just a bit of size variety.
Speaking of which, Arkose loves also big animals:

wow, that fingerprint on the thigh is clear enough that I think we could get forensics on that to identify the factory worker :/

LOL don't do that! It's my fingerprint. Now you can use my phone! :D

The paint is so shiny I should transform him with gloves. I don't know if I can count it as a a flaw :)
