No problemo mi amigo. Hope it works out. At least he has several thousand feedback, 99.7% positive, and was very responsive to inquiries. We'll see.

I just received mine from netclow, ordered on August 26th.

It has screws on both front wheels.

Finally had some time to mess around with Beachcomber some more and I really like it. It's actually a great piece and glad I finally got it. Only part I feel would be better is some sort of tabbing in for the part on the back of the leg. Articulation, accessories, transformation are all nice. No need to say how obviously good it looks, XTB/539 is unbeatable in that department. I still don't get the part you guys are talking about with the front wheels but it doesn't matter...mine feels great and the quality is good all the way around. Not gonna take pics until I put an insignia on his chest but should get around to that this weekend. Thanks for all the info and pics already in this thread...always a great resource here.

Lol, not sure what you mean by that unless you're talking about my disappearance from most Transformers related threads. I'm buying more toys than ever but mostly Macross, Star Wars, Marvel, SOC/metal robots and monsters stuff so I frequent the non-TF section of the forums more these days.

Beachcomber has always been a favorite of mine and I always planned on getting this but just got around to it recently.

Thats cool, I just don't passively recall you being on board with too many figures. Arkose is a cool little bot, one of XTBs better releases imo

Oh, you are right about that when it comes to MP style Transformers and compared to many people's collections. I'm pretty picky with the characters I like/want and the execution of them. I don't just buy something because it's the first so and so to come out. I have less than 20 Figures between MP and 3P at this point and in my mind, there will be about 10 more I really want.

I'm really happy with Beachcomber and the only other minibots I'm interested in are Powerglide, Cosmos and Cliffjumper. XTB Cosmos is up next on my to buy list, along with GP Sludge. Still waiting to see a Powerglide worth buying and more details on XTBs Cliffjumper.

This is my first XTB figure, and it passed the completely unsupervised (and unknown) 3yo struggling to transform it quality test.

Popped head and one side skirt off, easily put back on.
Only thing I've noticed is one blue tab is cracked going from beside the engine to the side of the car.

I'm impressed with the quality of XTB to survive this (especially considering how small some pieces are).

He was in his box and packaging but still within 3yo reach.
    Lesson learned lol.

Received my Arkose today and it is indeed a V2. He looks fantastic, but the transformation is cumbersome, not fun, and aggravating. I watched 2 vids regarding the backpack portion and it still took me way too long to get it to position as intended. Fantastic looking in bot mode, glad to finally have him represented in my MP display.

So, refresh my memory as to what differentiates Version 1, from version 2 please.

Yeah I didn't get the quality complaints with XTB's Beachcomber, Windcharger, or Tailgate. Other than some odd transformation choices (mainly on Windcharger and Tailgate), these figures were pretty solid. I've only ever had a bad experience with one XTB figure. Everything else has been on par with any other 3rd party release.

V2 uses screws in both of the front wheels instead of pins which were prone to falling out. Also, the plastic bar on the V1 engine block was prone to breakage.

V2 really just has overall better QC and screws where pins were.

Pretty much sums up my initial experience with v2.

Well I picked up this guy from baba and received him today. Def v2 with the screws and missing instruction piece. Seems a little fragile and that roll cage is a pain. Looks pretty damn good in bot mode though. One bot closer to mini completion.
