Anyone know where to get a V2 for certain? I don't want to gamble and get a V1

Yep, messaged him along with a boatload of other eBay sellers. Waiting on his response.

Hes the highest rated ebay seller, 1 negative. And theres his Facebook you could try.

How long after the v1 was out that the v2 came out?

You can get it in frosted detail on Shapeways. Exactly the same thing, he just was selling them via his store when only designers could get things printed in High Definition Acrylate.

XTB Arkose Anime Gun by autotronprime on Shapeways

He might be able to update the Shapeways listing to print in the High Def material now. So I would suggest asking him via his Shapeways page.

His transformation is fiddly and the roll cage section in particular is a nuisance, but otherwise I wouldn't call it bad. This isn't one of those transformers where you have heaps of fun flipping them back and forth between modes though.

Bad for me is like Badcube's Grump. Which is fantastic in robot mode, vehicle mode is conceptually good, and he all round looks great, but the transformation is a nightmare of panels that won't cooperate and no matter what you do the alt mode just won't come together perfectly and always feels like it's about to explode.

I know netclow on Ebay just started restocking Arkose. At this point any copy you pick up is highly likely a v2.

Netclow replied to my V2 inquiry. I informed there were multiple versions, and the simplest way to determine is to look at the front wheel attachments. They are either both screws, or one screw and one rivet. Here is the reply I received:
Come on, man. No one knows what they are selling.

The problem with assuming you will get a V2 is that if you don't, you have no grounds to return without significant cost. Especially since everyone is saying "I don't know". The one seller who sent me pics had V1's.

I'm ready to pull the trigger but need to know it's V2

My apologies. V2 has a visible screw inside each front tire while v1 front tires have a screw and a pin/rivet. Here are pics of the actual v2 copy I got from Toy Dojo last year. Eddie was nice enough to send me pics confirming v2 before I commited to buy. Maybe you can share the pics with netclow for clrification.

For what it's worth my friend got his Arkose from netclow almost a year ago IIRC and he was sent a v2. It was at the time when the v1s were drying up. There was only one batch of v1 that were ever released and once they dried up they were gone for good. It's pretty certain that only the v2 remain on the market to this day. You can also find netclow on Facebook as Wong Netclow: Wong Netclow

The only other places outside Ebay that that I know of that have this in stock are tfs-express, Amazon, chimungmung toy shop (aka Robotoybase).

Thanks, I did send a follow-up inquiry to Netclow asking if the front wheels have a screw in each or a screw/rivet combo. Been a day and a half now, doubt I'll get an answer today.

Thanks for sharing the pics. I wonder if making a side-by-side of the two versions with a "Yes" point to the screw and a "No" pointing to the rivet would be helpful to send to sellers.

I received the below pics from another seller, but I can't tell if the one wheel is a rivet or screw since it's a smidge blurry. Anyone know?

Definitely a screw. The pins had a completely flat head to them.

    No problem.
What ever you feel you need to do to help the sellers distinguish them is cool.
Definitely screws in each front wheel on your pics there....that's a v2. As another member pointed out the mooth flat surface of a rivet/pin is pretty easy to identify even when blurred.

I feel 99.99% confident that netclow's stock is all v2s.
