Mine dropped into my PoL this afternoon.

 

I wonder if BBTS already got the replacement parts.

 

They held off on processing theirs till they got the parts in. Got mine today, wooot! Also grabbed TR Fort Max on amazon for 130 then applied credit card points and got it down to 54 with tax!

 

That's good to know. It sounds like US retailers who were holding back their stock should all be shipping soon.

Is everyone's chipping in the same place on the first set of thighs? Just wondering if its paint application issues or clearance issues.

 

Nail polish ≠ paint, and generally, results will reflect that.

 

Does the v2 replacement parts kit come with 1 or 2 extra faces? Are those 2 faces identical to each other or not. Are the extra faces exactly the same as the face that comes installed on the v2?

Alright, I just added this guy to my POL. I've wanted this figure too long to not at least give it a shot, and in the long run $65 is $65. I really hope the issues are one offs so far.

I am currently trying quite hard to not order from BBTS. I like to space out my purchases and I've already bought a few things this month.

His colors are ok. I really would have liked more contrast between his face and the cowl. The silver on the takara (left) makes me really want to silver some stuff up. The lighter orange on the hasbro (right) feels more "right"



Onto the ugly...



I painted the left eye a nice metallic blue. The flat original blue on the right looks pretty dead with either face.

The original face is the smoother one. It's also a tiny bit smaller. It makes him look more child like. Obviously the terrible scarring on the alternate face doesn't help with that... though some very light fingernail scraping smoothed it out a tiny bit. Enough for me to want to keep that face on him. It really does look better when you're not zoomed in on it with a phone camera. I'll post up some pics with other figs after I get his 'bot insignia on.






I don't really know what the point of the alternate chest is. It's more or less the same thing, just about 80% opaque and a bit more rosey, so it doesn't really match any other color on him. I guess you could paint it grey.



Let's end this on a happy note... because I got a good price for him and still felt like he should have been about $40.

 

That alternate face is terrible. Wow.

 

Wow. That alternate face must've been a dud. It looks like a robotic Michael Myers mask.

 

The alt face looks like the paint reacted to the plastic or the mold release or something. Might look fine if stripped and repainted (if it even needs to be painted).

 

Man.. Those pictures make the extra face look like crap. I've seen some pictures where it looks more normal, but honestly nothing special.

We have had him in stock for a couple weeks but we're holding off shipping until we got the extra head and thighs. Got em in now so those who ordered should expect tracking soon...

 

Tf-direct has shipped out my v2 Ollie exactly 1 week ago. It should arrive in 3 more days. I asked them about the replacement parts and they are shipping that now.

 

Woooooow yeah. So happy with my v1.

I'm going to pay for my Cyclonus (when it ever releases), but I sure as shit am not shipping my PoL until I see reviews. If it's as shit as XTB's last few efforts, I am going to cancel it and get store credit. I'll just end up waiting for FT's version.

Hi there, this is 539 sneaking in. I was asked to hop on to inform everyone that the Ollie+ is in fact coming with an extra pair of thighs and an extra "alt" face. So to clarify any confusion.
-The paint on the original thighs is prone to chipping. The new set has a better paint job and less likely to chip.

-The "alt" face is smoother than the one in the package. So 3 faces total. The old design and two new updated or "alt" faces-one of which has a smoother finish.

-The parts have been shipped to all the retailers and will be shipped out with your order.

-Replacing parts will only require a screwdriver which is included.
