Gotcha. Mine has the opposite problem, where it's too wide to fit into the slot.
This is obviously a widespread problem yet there's still been no announcement from @ibot or XTB about providing replacement working tractor beam parts. Hopefully we won't be forced to buy a whole new figure to get the defective part replaced.
So, with some the pegs are too big for the holes, and others, the holes are too big for the pegs?
I believe so. Most of the complaints I've seen were that people couldn't fit the stand peg into the bottom of the alt mode, but there have been numerous complaints about it being too small as well. Obviously one is much easier to fix than the other.
What an odd situation. Too bad we can't organize an exchange program within TFW? Then again, that would not guarantee a good solution either. Are the pegs hollow or solid plastic? It may have to do with them shrinking/expanding as they're cooling during the manufacturing process?
Hard to tell.
I don't have it in hand, so maybe this is a dumb question...
But has anyone with a tractor beam that seems too large tried sitting the peg in boiling water for a couple minutes and then shoving it into the hole to remold it?
It's weird because the peg on the regular flight stand works perfectly. They couldn't make both pegs the same size?
Let's call the whole thing off!
Messed up accessories is the price to pay for a decent bot with this company. You can't win.
Ah ha, so skimming back over the thread, looks like I'm not the only one whose tractor beam piece doesn't really peg securely (or at all) into Klaatu. It's an unfortunate design flaw for something that's supposed to be one of the unique features of the figure.
The peg on my base was about 0.015” too large (yes I measured it) and I ended up filing it down to the correct size with a safe edge file. It pegs in great now.
I'd much rather have an issue with the stand than the figure itself.
But... everyone want die-cast. What mean die-cast make toy too heavy for tiny stand?
Have to agree. I love my XTB green titty. One of my favorite premium bots in recent memory.
TCP's video has the method that works for me. The Peg will fit.

Anyone tried this^^
Thanks, I'll have to try that!
Absolutely. No argument there. Otherwise I like the figure, and he seems pretty well-built. And honestly I doubt I'll be changing him back to vehicle mode anytime soon, so the stand issue is sort of moot.
I believe XTB feels obligated at this point to include some funky issue with even their “good” releases, much like the feet w/Andras ... it’s like they want to remind you with every purchase, “hey this is real 3P you’re dealing with here, not FT!”
Haven't even tried the tractor beam because I really don't care...
I don't really either, but it was irking me that it didn't fit. Now that it does, I'll likely never use it again...
Sound like my sex life . . . ZING!
