Wow. So I got X-Men 3 as a gift and then realized there were 6 fargin versions: widescreen, fullscreen, collector's, collectors tin, wal-mart bonus dvd and then the triple pack

I have the collector's edition. I only saw the tin at Target. It's crazyness... did anyone pick ALL these up?

They gotta hype it somehow, it was a pretty lame movie.

Yep. I regretably have copies of Ray and 8 Mile in fullscreen.

Are any of the six versions actually good?

I got the tin at Target. It was the regular movie with a comic and some cards. Lame. But WalMart had some lame behind the scenes thing. The collectors edition was only an added comic as far as I have heard. Then the 3 pack is just the regular version with the first 2 movies. So I don;t think that counts. And Fullscreen/widescreen can't really be considered 2 versions because every movie does that.

But I think I got the best deal with the tin because I can actually use the tin for something.

I really doubt I'll ever get the DVD, the film had some cool moments, but I dunno if its a movie that I really want to own and watch over and over again. Just really dissapointed with it.

Added comic (compilation of 2 older comics and an original "Stan Lee Author Insertion Tale") and a fancy box. And just the widescreen version of the film, unfortunately...I'd been hoping for both formats.

I need to get around to watching this again sometime this week. It was the only film in the trilogy I actually liked and I'm looking forward to seeing the deleted scenes and alternate endings.

I love this movie, though my only complaint is they killed people off way too fast and almost as cheaply as Count Dooka ala SWEp3

For anyone that cares, Brett Ratner already said that another Special Edition DVD is in the making. It won't be a director's cut, but it will have more extra features. The interview was on IGN a while back.

I may get the collector's edition. I love X3 (X2 being best and X1 third) and I will be watching it a few more times.

The first one was of Beast not becoming the UN ambassador and staying on at the school.

The second was showing Bobby walking into Rogue's room, and her telling him she couldn't do it, and her placing her gloved hand into his.

The last (which was the only that I though was somewhat okay), showed Wolverine not staying at the mansion, but back in the bar in Alberta where we first saw him in X-Men 1, talking to the bartender about going home.

Does the three pack have the three endings and 10 deleted scenes? Also, does it have the version of the other two movies that were in the set with two disks for the first two movies?

I got the Steelbook version from Future shop, and was kinda pissed off at it... where the Glue machine put glue on it to stick the comic onto it, it left a big scratch on the metal on the back, and the side panel was all bent after opening it a couple times (like it was aligned properly). Even odder, the case is for a 2-disc set, so I wasted time looking online to see if I was supposed to have gotten a second disc which wasn't there.

Finally, the new comic story that was in the comic book was FUCKING lame. Stan Lee has lost his friggin mind, just like in that Simpsons episode.

I love the movie, but I'm glad I just got the normal WS edition with the deleted scenes and commentaries. They really should have done a special feature where they interviewed Claremont about Dark Phoenix or something.
