Wow. That's surprising. How did the cables wrap around his neck? When I play X-Box, I don't get all wrapped up. Though I bet some fuck is going to blame Microsoft for it. But, I mean seriously, cord wrapped around neck, and he jumped and hung himself. Kinda sounds hard to do on accident.

I just cant think of how this scenario is possible, unless the xbox was mounted high on the wall. Otherwise any cable coming from the console would disconnect when its pulled with enough force such as a kid jumping down. Weird

My guess is it is a suicide.. No way you get the cords wrapped around your neck like that and suddenly jump off to your death..

He decided jumping off his bed with a cable tied around his neck was a good idea?

    Scratch that.

He decided wearing a cable around his neck was a good idea?

Trust me, harsh as it sounds - nothing of value was lost. :)

And if it was a suicide, well, I have sympathy (having attempted it several times myself), but he really picked such a stupid, flawed way of doing it that it's miracle it worked, which leads me to doubt that it was intentional.

Not trying to sound insensitive, but the way it's being described, it sounds a lot more like suicide. The weight of the kid would have pulled the cord out of the console easily (my parent's little jack russel terrier used to pull it out all the time).

Still a sad thing to happen, especially at such a young age.

Um...unless I missed something, the original X-box controller wires would break apart with enough force...

Yeah, wouldn't they also just pop out of the machine? Or take the whole console with him? Fuck man, shit's hard to figure out.

That must have been one hell of a long cable. To get wrapped around his neck, wrapped around something to anchor itself to to be able to hold him off the ground. How long are xbox controller cables?

xbox pad cables have a part that comes apart easily when the cable is taught to prevent the actual console itself from flying across the room... this makes no sense :/

    goddamned sad though.

    Apparently, very long.

While it just doesn't add up to me, I will have that family in my prayers.

    Ax-Box?
I thought the most harm you got from playing with these video games was carpal-tunnel syndrome.
No matter how hard you try, you can't blame Microsoft because that's the system the kid used. It' snot the tool, it's the user.

When I read the title, I thought an Xbox fell on the kid. The original was quite a brick.

But wow, this scenario is just odd. That's really sad for the family, losing someone so young and especially so senselessly.

It just doesn't seem to add up to me. I mean sometimes when you are playing and you get really into it I've accidently pulled the controllers out of systems.

    Still sad though :-(
