Nah- probably couldn't afford to after making a payment on his Porche.

 

My computer just slapped me for making it visit that site.  

 

The real question is what pieces of art did he draw on that site.

I've already long-since resolved not to do anything that puts money in Lee's pocket. On that note, does anyone know what the status is with the recent DW reprints? I'm assuming that Hasbro own that material lock, stock and barrel due to the bankruptcy, and have an agreement with IDW to republish it and try to claw back some losses...

 

On the up side, the children in that sweatshop will be used to not being paid.

 

Oh no, not again. I wonder is it well known outside of the TF community that he has a reputation for not paying his employees?

 

I don't think it can be; there's no other explanation as to why anyone even lets this shithead through the door.

 

Other comics companies will hire him because he gets stuff in quickly (due to operating a team rather than drawing everything that has 'Pat Lee' on it himself) and "the kids like that anime stuff" (where 'anime' is represented by a particular North American approach; and let's not forget Marvel repeatedly hire Liefield, too)...

New artists will take the chance because, wow, there's this comic book artist who's taking them seriously, and it might let them build up a portfolio or noticed somewhere else.

Sadly the only thing likely to put a crimp in Mr Lee's style is providence seeing fit to supply an explosion or a cliff.

 

Maybe somebody will key his car.

 

BTW, in Sweden we recently had his part of the Spider-Man: The Other crossover published. While I knew it sucked I just had to thumb through it.

Goes to show it whas worse than I imagined.

I instantly felt a lot better about my art.
